Bookstores are great. Sadly, this one felt a bit generic, didn't have enough personality / character, other than the CD collection, which is a bit out of place in 2024.

This is the best book store in Sonoma County! Old school, hardwood floors, throw rugs, great selection of books and games. An art gallery upstairs with local art. Quiet place, it’s wonderful.

This bookstore has been on our to-do list ever since we started coming to Healdsburg/Russian River area. When entering the store, it feels like you've turned back decades and are in someone's really great old-fashioned library. They have a great selection of different genres - fiction, mystery, sci fi, good literature selection, and, of course, cookbooks. My partner and I have purchased many books here and have always enjoyed our interaction with the owners. I believe it's a family who owns this store and they are always very helpful. They also have a great music selection and there is even an art gallery upstairs.

Put this one on your "do not miss" category next time you are in this town.

Maybe it's a great bookstore but the records section was very wanting. If there was something I wanted, the antique booth prices kept me at bay. They weren't terribly friendly either.

Levin & Company is the perfect bookstore. Not only do they have a great selection of all the top flight fiction you want to read, they also have wonderful collection of beautiful special interest photo books and kids books too. This is a bookstore owned by a family who loves books and loves what they do. They are always ready to make sure you get your hands on what you need.

Another huge bonus is that they also carry a great cross section of CDs and cool used vinyl. And they know their stuff.

The store has a great vibe. It's high ceilings and great natural light show off the original artwork by the talented owners that decorate the walls. And if you want a change of scene, they have a great art gallery upstairs with affordable artsy gift items as well as the full gallery. It's right on the town square next to a great bakery too!

This is a store you can spend a lot of time in. And if you need to find something for someone special or for yourself, you'll have no problem here. I give it 5 Stars!

Levin and Company is the best bookstore I have ever seen. The staff is knowledgeable, warm, friendly and really cares about finding the right next book for YOU, not just what others are reading. The store is spacious and inviting and there is impressive art on all the walls, from art quilts to dog portraits to a collage of a local children's theater group to a classic bookstore mural... of books! You can totally tell that this is a family run business and that each and every person behind the counter cares about your experience. Aaron has turned me on to all sorts of new music, for which I am most grateful. And their backlist is impressive; I always know I can find that classic-of-my-heart that the other stores ignore as being too off beat or that 'didn't sell enough the first time around.' An experience worth going to Healdsburg for for any true book lover.
