I recently visited Azucanela and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was enjoyable, with murals inside and outside adding to the atmosphere. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a versatile spot. I played Connect Four while I was there, which was a fun touch. The daytime ambiance is different from the nighttime, and I'm excited to return in the evening to see the change.

I tried the churro sundae, and it was fantastic. The dessert featured fresh churros with vanilla ice cream on top, walnuts, fire-roasted marshmallow, and a drizzle of chocolate. It's definitely a great item to share.

Overall, Azucanela is a great place to study or hang out with friends. I highly recommend it, whether you're looking for a casual date spot or a place to catch up with friends.

Such an awesome hidden gem. Love the pistachio latte and beautiful back patio. They are super sweet to my dog, too! Pup cup + doggie water bowl on the patio.

I love this place, lattes are always made by the friendly staff. They have a new Fall menu and I tried a pumpkin iced latte for the first time ever and I loved their version of it! Also has an Horchata flavor to it which I liked! Azucanela always comes in clutch

It’s been getting cold out and we were craving cozy hot drinks. Unfortunately, this place was not it. I ordered the “Atole de Arroz” but it was literally steamed milk. No rice or raisins (sign said it was supposed to have these) My husband ordered a Champurado and it was so bland and just steamed milk with chocolate. Churros were fine, not bad at all. Over all, disappointing in the drinks.

The churros are delicious, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere is amazing. I highly recommend this place!

My go to coffee is cafe de olla but their menu has a good variety for various tastes.

It’s a fun place to go with friends since they have some board games, and it’s a good place to study with seating options inside and outside.

This is one of those hole in the wall gems.

Looks small on the outside but cozy inside. They have a backyard patio that's absolutely charming.

The churros are made on the spot, so one must wait. Luckily on the day I went it wasn't crowded, but the lady behind the counter was busy with phone orders. But even so, the wait time was quick.

Ordered the regular churros, churros with cajeta and the churros bites. For the bites she provided two dipping sauces. Let me tell you about the chocolate one... It was delicious, Abuelita chocolate mousse style, and explosive taste on the buds, hot chocolate will never be the same for me. It was insane 🤤 First time trying Strawberry Horchata, still trying to figure out how I feel about that one. But it was okay.

Parking, as far as I know, only two spots in the front and it's for handicap only, very considerate. Street parking.

Ooohhh, someone left their hat in the bathroom, but it added to the decor.

Bottom Line: more people should go here.

Food: out of sight. $7 for 3 churro relleno sounds high but when it weighs more than half a pound, made fresh, and hits that sweet, doughy deliciousness you crave, absolutely come here. And I haven’t gotten to the coffee. The Hazelnut latte is standard tasty. For someone whose go to isn’t hazelnut, it’s very satisfying. But DRINK THE CAFE DE OLLA. I don’t remember the last time I simply drank a speciality coffee without any complaints. First taste? Great. Last taste? Also great.

Service: the cashiers were so friendly. She took the time to explain and provide recommendations. Really really friendly for 10am on a Sunday
