I am a former DSS/TEPPS student and I attended our 40th reunion. The Historical Society was a pleasure. They put together some photos from the school over the years and we got to go browse

Such a great place. Our little one loved it. So much history! The woman working told us a lot about the family who used to own that place, also showed us how milk and creamer were separated! Lol. We will be back on our next visit 🙂

Small but interesting. Reasonably priced souvenirs. Helpful and friendly staff. Peaceful green grounds. Our main reason was to get a map of all the painted deer locations.

Nice little museum with many different historical artifacts and memorabilia. The curator is a true fount of information. If you are interested in the history of the area or just like looking at old stuff, I would recommend a visit to the Historical society. There is no admission fee but they are run by the kind donations made my the patrons.

Historical Idyllwild is an amazing mix of pioneers, movie stars, developers and Ernie Maxwell's living legacy the museum is set in an original IDY cabin and contains samples of every era including a display on equipment for Rock climbing from the early 20tg century to present. The docents are as fascinating as the stories they relay about the town and mountain. Worth visiting early, then explore the town and parks with fresh insight
