I always buy meat from here and never had an issue until yesterday/today. I bought 2lbs of diesmillo for me and my husband. Bought the meat and went straight home, the meat had a funky smell but I figured it would be ok. NOPE we grilled it and the meat was bad, rancid. We also got a jello that had expired 5/20/2024 a whole month before. However the bad part was when my husband went back to return the meat. The lady started yelling (screaming) at my husband in front of my 8 year old son. About how we were trying to scam and we did something to the meat and CLEARLY EXPIRED Jello. She argued and yelled at my husband in front of our son, yelling that she never wanted to see us in her store again. We are regular customers of Baja Meat markets for years! The one time their meat went bad (understandable it happens) but the way the cashier lady acted was extremely unprofessional and RUDE. My husband asked her to stop yelling because she was scaring my child and she did not care. Truly horrible experience. Never going back.

You can get everything fresh thin cut Milanesa, good cuts of flat meat, home made tortillas. If you dont want to make salsa or guacamole they have it here.

Love this place, I found when I moved to Palm Desert. Great carne, butcher is friendly and the workers are very friendly!!! Only place I shop for my Sunday BBQ
