Don't EVER waste your money here, you can get whatever you want 2 miles down the road for half what they charge.
One star is the lowest review I can give, otherwise it would be 0.
They took advantage of Covid, and we're profiting off the scarcity and uncertainty by scalping the local population, and everything went up in price by a dollar, and they never put the prices back down, even after the pandemic ended, and even though they go to Costco for their foodstuffs, they resell it at their store, and charge double what they paid for it there.
They were recently taken over by another family member from his uncle, or cousin, and the nephew jacked up the prices AGAIN
They bought out the only other market in town, and now have a monopoly on everything and dictate the price.
As en example: I recently paid EIGHT dollars for a single tallcan of coors. For another: They buy a box of swisher sweet cigars, and put their own pricetag over the printed price on the label, and their price is between 2-3 Dollars more than it should be. They tried to charge me five dollars for a package that is marked as $2.49.
Their ATM also charged me $6 instead of the posted $3.

I will no longer be giving this business any money. The last time I went in to purchase something I used my debit card. The total I was told I was being charged wasn't the amount that showed on my statement. The charges were increased by about .75 cents without being told. This is blatant theft. Additionally, When I paid cash, I'd have to ask for the correct change one too many times. They like to short you a nickle here and there if you're not paying attention. Like the previous owners, these people can't be trusted and have lost my business.

This stop has really turned around imo. The owner and I presume his wife are very friendly and amicable. I actually enjoy making the trip to their store when needed. I believe that their endeavor will prove fruitful. Bought nachos there today and for 9 bucks these are very delicious.

Harry, lucky’s son (former owner) is doing a great job. He was there as a young man and now owns it. Great success story. Great guy and a friend from way way back. I just wish we could get marcus back with the Tri tip BBQ. Raj tarnished the reputation of the place and was convicted of not paying his employees properly. So forget what your past experiences were with OFM and give another chance! I was here when Robert Sun owned it in the mid to late 90s. He was also a great guy! My Father and I had a patent agency in the building and the rent was 400.00 Raj raised it to 1800.00!!! Forced us out into a better building on airport. 10 times the space same rent!

I try not to go here because the owner randomly chooses a different, more expensive price on things you buy regularly when he's there. The guy who usually works there is great. Friendly and same price everytime. But because of the owners behavior I don't like to spend my money there.

They have a good selection of beer. They are the only liquor store in town, and the only gas station.

I only go here in an emergency, if I really need gas, or the other store across the street (which doesn't have as big a selection of things) is closed and I don't want to drive to the next town.

All around terrible!! Food expired! Hot pizza I found hair. That’s ok because even as they randomly change prices and it fits them. I liked the younger guy but he has turned into a bitter crook as well after 10 years of going there paying high prices and risking my life eating the food. I will never spend another dollar because after I purchased a pack of gum and a juice, I asked to use the air and he charged me 1.50.. I could go on but enter at your own risk.. it’s so dirty and smelly I’m surprised they haven’t shut this place down for health code validations. Not to mention he’s bitter because I no longer cash checks with them and 3-5% Sorry you’ll just have to take advantage of the field workers for now on

Great fuel prices. Way cheaper than the station near the highway. Worth the small excursion to get here. Google maps will take you to a residential address though so go to the main intersection in town to find it next to the library.

This little market is a real diamond in the rough. They have everything you might need. Before you get into your car and drive into Watsonville or Prunedale, check this little market out. You'll find what you need, when you need it at the Old Firehouse Market. I'm 70 years old and I can do all my shopping at the O.F.M. because I love to support our local stores. The fresh eggs are local from Gilroy. I get my cottage cheese, milk, anything I need without having to drive around and waist time and gas. Renu and her husband are the owners of the O.F.M. and everyone who works there are just like family...they are family....(.the ones you like !) The hot sandwiches are a real treat, give yourself a break for lunch and take one home.....................................except for.......
now for my favorite day of the week at O.F.M......Friday ! That's the day they Bar-B-Q and it is wonderful. 11 am is the magic hour on Fridays. Don't miss out on this wonderful, fantastic, out of this world cooking.....that I didn't have to do, and I love to eat ! Chicken and Tri Tip on the grill. Once your retired, who wants to cook for one? Not this old lady ! I have learned to treat myself with care and love....and Bar-B-Q from O.F.M gets me there every time. I have Bar-B-Q chicken in the kitchen calling my name, so have yourself a really wonderful day, I know I'm going to have a wonderful lunch !

They have a gas station outside, you can fill up your tank and you won't pay higher prices for it.

I love this store and the family feeling I get when I shop here. Stop in, give it a try, you'll come back just like I did...over and over because its family. Let the BIG stores have their ads and sales and unsmiling employees, I'll take the feeling of family anytime. When your my age, you learn whats important.......
