There is a lake in the park where boating enthusiasts can go, which is great.
There are many wild ducks, mandarin ducks, and geese on the lake, which is a great experience. I usually go in the morning, so there are not many people.
Looking at the lake will make you feel more peaceful and calm.

The first 2 lots get full fairly quick. Other than that, there is still space to the other lots, specifically the dirt one.
They do start kicking you out at 8pm sharp. They give warnings at 7:30pm or so. The swim area was nice and bit dirty but don't drink the water

Great place to fish. Fished here for many years. Caught a 24lb Flathead back in October of 2021. They need someone to spray around the wood pilings by the docks. Those wood pilings get filled with big spiders when the sun starts going down.

What an amazing place for picnic. Unfortunately we went in off season so all water based play and swimming were closed, but the park has lot of picnic tables and trees to sit and enjoy with family and friends. They also have provisions for pit fire and barbecue. Playground was good too. Though it was hot today, but there was always a small breeze of cold air making our visit pleasant. Restrooms were clean too. Definitely a potential place if you are planning to have a large gathering.

My husband came to fish and I enjoyed the scenery. Many fish in the water and they were biting. There is the bike path the goes through the dam and even hiking areas that goes around the lake. Very beautiful area.

Casual walking and Enjoying a good breeze on a summer day helps you slow the day down and remember all the good stuff. Tons of space and tables for a get together with a nice BBQ. Theres swimming available. Lots of ducks and squirrels. Dog friendly. Playgrounds for kids. Fishing is also a favorite. Clean bathrooms and really nice shaded areas.

When I began cycling this is where it all started here at Santa Fe dam back in 2019. Today I continue to come through here at least 3 times a week cycling through the San Gabriel River bike trail which crosses atop the dam itself.. take it south and it'll take you as far as Seal Beach or north which will merge into hwy 39 and ride up to Crystal lake Cafe .. it passes along Sante Fe dam's nature center and also Encanto Park in duarte ..Santa Fe dam has much to offer right now during the summer with swimming activities, fishing, boating , cycling or just to take a romantic walk throughout the park which has plenty of parking . This park always is a great place to bring the whole family and dog for gatherings , BBQ, ect. I always Recommend this park to friends and family and anyone who likes the outdoors.
