My wife and I try and work a few days out of the week from local coffee shops to enjoy a change of scenery.

We’ve been to every local coffee shop in Lakeland in the past two weeks and I must say Pressed is hands down our favorite in town!

A few complaints about the other shops that Pressed just gets right.

1. Some coffee shops in town lack good WiFi.
2. Some have very noisy environments that aren’t conducive to working even with headphones.
3. Some have great atmospheres but very uncomfortable seating. Not good for a few hours of work.

Pressed solves all these problems.

Great atmosphere with books all around. Very friendly staff. Tables and couches great for relaxing or working.

And the Coffee…..

So good. Not to mention the sweet treats they have. The oatmeal cookie was amazing!

Overall I have no complaints here.

This will become our regular spot to work, relax and grab some coffee and treats. Maybe get a new book as well.

5 out of 5 no question.

The sweetest café & bookstore. I could sit here for hours, rotating between work & reading. It’s so peaceful, and has a beautiful ambiance with all of the nature lighting & plants. Great outdoor patio, too. I really enjoy the amaretto almond flavor you can add to your cappuccino or latte.

Great little coffee shop / bookstore / lounge combo rapidly becoming my "go-to" spot in Lakeland FL
Fantastic selection of unique hot & cold drinks + a growing selection of made in house baked goods 🤩
I recommend the GF Triple Chocolate Muffins 😋 or the blueberry muffins 🫐 ...or pretty much anything 😉

I've been here a couple of times previously, and when I craved a good local coffee on New Years Day, they were the only place open. They have a great staff, and as also being a boutique book store, are very book friendly. I enjoyed my coffee a nice read in a location with great vibes.

If you're looking for a place that treats their employees worse than trash, burns their coffee along with a place that rarely gets cleaned, Pressed is the place for you. I remember liking this place in the past but hadn't returned for a while after buying an espresso machine for home. I sat down to drink my coffee, I took a sip and wanted to spit it out all over the stained and sticky floor. I asked for the owner or manager, the barista looked at me like I was stupid but proceeded to get the owner. The owner was standoff - ish and rude, she was not welcoming at all. I was just trying to ask about the coffee and books and get a better vibe about the place because maybe I was there on an "off-day" and wanted to give this place another chance. She couldn't give me any recommendations of books that were in her store. It seems she is incredibly disconnected from the books, the drinks that are served and obviously the people of Lakeland.
