The staff in store are lovely and friendly. We were lucky enough to visit on a day when the show was filming! They invited us to stay and watch. Lost of charming items for sale. I bought a magnificent oversized cheese board.

They also sell great home wares and cutting boards. Shirts and other various items are so tastefully done too.

We were a very lucky family to happen to be at Scotsman General Store today. Ben and Josh were filming and we got to see them from a distance. They don’t allow any photos since Ben is making unique items for the show. EVERYONE who works at the store is genuinely kind and helpful. The store has many high quality products and we spent a great deal of time browsing and shopping. Make sure you take a moment to go upstairs and take a photo in front of the train mural or play a game of corn hole. Super excited to see Ben and would have loved to meet him.

Cool place! Neat to see the shop they record the show in. Be ready to spend some money if you want to buy anything, it’s very costly.

Update: 2 years later and coming through town again so I stopped. Not much has changed. Friendly folk and neat stuff to buy. I ended up getting some Jeni's Ice Cream. It was $12 a pint. I tried the Pistachio Macaron. For the price it didn't knock my socks off. It was ok though. It's just a fun stop to see the Woodshop if you're in the area.

Another stop on your Home Town tour bucket list. There's a window into the woodshop. If they're filming there's a sign that will light up. Fun to see. They carry Home Town merchandise like a coffee mug that says Measure Once Cuss Twice, Ben's coffee, jams, jelly's and sauces, cutting boards, a fridge full of sodas from all over, then a section for snacks and snow cones, candy, and such. A mural sits on top. They have an observation deck to go up to get a better look at it as well as seating up there. Next door they have more seating, Cornhole, and two food trucks (check hours for those). If you're lucky a train will come wizzing by while you're there. Neat experience.

Fans of the show, will recognize this shop. Nice selection of cutting boards, as many reviews have said. They have a good-sized selection of cold, bottled drinks with a few sugar-free flavors too. They give you a way to transport them easily.
Bought some beard oil too- mostly natural ingredients and made in USA.
I didn't really take pics because the ones you see in other reviews are exactly what you get.
All the employees were friendly.
I mentioned to one of the employees how beautiful the architecture in Vicksburg was coming in. He gave us a very interesting history of Laurel/Vicksburg...the war. Well done. He obviously loves the town and the history. Ya'll need to have him give history tours.

I'm sure I'd a given it 5 stars if I would of made it before it closed. I enjoyed checking the lookout observation deck. The overall feeling was pleasent

We absolutely loved our trip to Scotsman General store! The gentlemen working the front were so nice! My six year old loved the drink cooler and all of the interesting flavors! We can’t wait to come back this summer and enjoy a snowball on the patio!
