We recently attempted to donate to what we have always believed to be a very worthy cause. Some of our furniture and household items were deemed worthy... much was not. What should have been a very rewarding experience became difficult and stressful. Next time, we'll donate to another cause. (The photo below is of a 5 year old two piece sectional as well as chair and ottoman deemed not good enough to donate.)

Scheduled a donation. Pick up crew was over half an hour late to their 2 hour window. Knocked once; did not ring doorbell, if it was for our motion alarm we may not have known they showed up at all. When we got to the door they were already heading back in the truck. They did not care or apologize for being late. They came in and did not take everything looked at one item for about 5 seconds in the bedroom set said they wouldn’t take it, took a picture. When asked why they said they couldn’t resell it. The other pieces were fine though? More likely is these guys didn’t want to move it because it was the biggest of the three pieces…imagine that.
Long story short look elsewhere to donate or try to donate to families in need directly, I wish that’s what I had done.

Tried to donate a living room set (couch, loveseat, chair, and ottoman). It is a cream color, so definitely shows wear more easily, but it is in good condition. They basically get out their microscopes to look for any reason not to take the furniture, "there is a speck of dirt here, we cannot take it".There is no dog hair, no stains, no rips, it isn't a floral pattern, etc. They told me to call and have the garbage facility for the area come pick it up. It isn't brand new looking, but it is in good condition, so that was pretty offensive. Their website should say we only take new furniture because I feel like that is what they are looking for. I was trying to donate a good living room set to a good charity, instead of selling it. Very frustrating experience. The pick up guys were not friendly at all either, they acted like they were being put out to even be there in the first place.

Love shopping here. Employees always friendly and while Goodwills prices are getting ridiculous, and others continue to increase their prices Habitat remains fair and reasonable.
Need to start bringing my donations here!!

Just left there bought a great ceiling fan for $10 Gary the gentleman checks all the fans that they work. Great people and great prices ❤️

We were not greeted as we walked in. This is unusual for a business to have their employees not even acknowledge the customer. They had a few nice pieces of furniture at really good prices . But, they did not have what we needed. It's worth checking out for home items.
