Moving here from the Midwest, I was shocked at how kind and happy the grocery store employees are here. They offer to walk you to your car with your groceries, they are friendly and smiley, and it makes grocery shopping a great experience. Publix is a little pricey for me, I'm more of a Save-A-Lot gal. but when I visit Publix it's always a great experience

1 STAR FOR JUST THIS VISIT!!!!Was going to the one at Disston Plaza and was very satisfied until I received bad service in the deli, which never happens. I've been ordering subs for over 15 years or other deli items and for several occasions from Birthday ,Anniversary, Holidays and just for my family and out of all these orders some as many as 22 subs at a time I've only gotten 2 wrong orders 1 was when I ordered 18 subs and 4 were supposed to be vegetarian but that wasn't a big deal and 1 when I ordered just 2 Italian Subs and they weren't Boars Head Italian's they were turkey and some combo but had mayonnaise also or could have eaten them. But my regular Publix is being remodeled, and I also go to 66th and Park Blvd. But when I went to the deli last time, they were out of onions, mild peppers, and their warmer was broke it was around 9 P.M. but had spoken with the night manager, who I think was named Michael before it was Paul because I had called him after I got the wrong sandwiches and he had said he'd replace them but I said we were just going to eat left overs. But I did drop off the sandwiches the next day. When I called him the night I received the wrong subs, I asked if he was going to write it down, and he replied yes ! He also remembered me in the store because he helped me find soup bones that had been moved he was very friendly. But Michael or whomever the manager was that night was rude. he wouldn't even check to see if it was written down! He said I waited too long, which wasn't long at all but I didn't need to explain to him when and why I didn't order the subs when they were returned the next day and Paul was not there so I asked them at customer service to make sure they wrote it down and let Paul know I had returned the subs. SUCH A PETY THING AND IF HE DIDN'T HAVE SUCH A DEMEANING ATTITUDE I WOULD HAVE JUST LET IT GO! MAYBE IF HE LOOKED UP MY CARDS HE WOULD HAVE SEEN HOW MUCH MONEY I HAD SPENT THERE!!!

Living nearby the last 7 years this is my closest Publix. It has def been a pleasure shopping there. Recently over the last 6 months specifically our family has noticed how the customer service has fallen below par. Mostly noticable in the deli/sandwich counter. Tonight we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff working. They seemed more interested in making rude remarks towards each other rather than attending the growing line of customers. I hope that it improves bc the main reason Publix stands out is their outstanding customer service.

Stopped at the hot food case and got the mojo pork with mac n cheese and it was amazing!! They had it cooked perfectly. Very juicy and the mac was creamy. The service was quick and to the point ty Publix employee's!!

I’m very thankful for the kindness of strangers this community has shown. So many people have lost their homes,cars,jobs, everything thing they own.
I went to pick up my Thanksgiving dinner.
They could not find my order. The manager Lisa was called over in her “turkey hat”. I told her my situation and out of the blue I started crying. Grief is funny like that it just takes over. Lisa was so sorry and wanted us to have a great Thanksgiving. They stepped up and provided a great dinner and flowers for our table. This will be a special Thanksgiving dinner.
There is love and hope everywhere you go.

I purchased a thanksgiving dinner from this Publix and from start to finish it was wonderful. The only thing I won’t do again is order the green bean casserole. It was not enjoyable at all. Do not be hesitant to get your precooked turkey from Publix. It was fast, easy and delicious.

The employees work so I can shop. Publix is a pleasant shopping experience. I can purchase items without operating a register, scanner, bagging dolley and when I gemo to exit the building nobody checks to see how good I did their job because they do.

After waiting over an hour for our on line order of subs to be made. I didn't notice that the employee that handed the subs to me shorted me on one sandwich. This of course ruined our dinner. This was not the first error of this kind from this deli.
I do not recommend the Disston Plaza deli because of their short staff resulting in many errors.
