This is a such a lovely baby and toddler store! I love the brands carried and that you don’t find them at many (if any) other local places locally. The store has great gifts and and non-apparel items too. MacKenzie, the owner, and her team are courteous and helpful. MacK is passionate about every item in the store and you can tell everything is chosen thoughtfully. Our community is lucky to have Swaddle!

This store is the best! The staff are so friendly and checked on us multiple times. Their selection of clothing and toys are second to none around town.

Disappointed & removed from registry. I know what you're thinking-- who goes out of their way to leave a negative review on a baby store? Well, not many, especially someone who usually tries to give the benefit of the doubt in most scenarios. I've purchased a couple big ticket items here over the years and never had an experience like today. I've lived in Homewood for three years and I'm a first time expecting mom-- so Swaddle was one of the first places I was excited to add to my registry. Because of this, a friend (who was looking to purchase a gift for her baby's first birthday) and I decided to stop by after lunch after I talked Swaddle up. While their selection didn't disappoint, their staff totally did. We weren't greeted-- which isn't typically a big deal to me-- but I always note it. It wasn't until I noticed the test strollers on display, both of which being strollers I have been trying to decide between purchasing. One of the staff members was helping another mom when we walked over and started to test the display Uppa Baby. I was very vocally excited about this being one of the strollers I have been wanting to try out, thinking that one of the FOUR staff members who were standing right next to us would walk over to assist me just like the other mom was being helped. But no, I continued to talk to my friend about my thoughts and even looked over to the staff who completely ignored us even though we were the only other guests in the store. The employee who was helping the other stroller mom wrapped up, and went back to the cash register to join the others in pretending like we weren't there. After about 8 minutes (3 of which were spent trying to figure out how to unlock the front wheels of the stroller), I asked my friend if I was being crazy or were we being ignored. She nodded in agreement, and without another thought I left the stroller there and we decide to leave. To make things worse, as we passed the huddled staff, someone else walked in and was immediately greeted as we passed them. That's when I knew Swaddle had let me down and I couldn't let them remain on my registry, as painful as it may be. I am shocked and disappointed, and this is unfortunate because I love Swaddle's products. However, until I'm treated like every other guest who walks in that store Swaddle will never get my business or endorsement again.

I love this shop and all the cute brands they carry, but I have two issues.
1. I can be in there for a while before anyone speaks to me, if at all. I’ve worked retail so I don’t see any excuse for not greeting every single person who walks through the door.
2. They mark up items higher than the MSPR. I’ve noticed it on Rylee and Cru and Oeuf specifically, but when I’m already splurging to buy my baby nice things, I don’t appreciate any given item costing $10 more than it would anywhere else.
I still shop from here on occasion but these two reasons mean I try and shop elsewhere first.

My infant niece (who is African American) went to go get her ears pierced today but was turned away until Monday because they didn’t have enough staff coverage for the entire store. As her parents were heading out with her, her mom noticed that the workers were starting to pierce a consumers ears (who was Caucasian). Very disappointed that the rules do not apply to EVERYONE in this situation! Would not recommend this company!

I love the store, but don’t recommend a baby registry. Registry items are rarely in stock, and they won’t order or hold restocks, which to me, defeats the point. I have had difficulties with my own registry and buying for others. They had a lot of problems with their system and my registry wasn’t managed well - I had to call a lot to make corrections. They also don’t stock very much of boys baby or toddler clothing, which is disappointing. I *want* to buy the beautiful things here and shop locally, but can’t!

This store is absolutely adorable!!! And i love it! The clothes are so cute but kind of pricey...But what do you expect from a boutique in downtown Homewood? The first thing I bought from here was a hape wooden kitchen, the accessories kit for it, and 5 play food kits that were all also hape. These things have all lasted years now. I did have a problem with the kitchen but I was able to get the manufacturer to replace the broken parts and send them to me for free. I was extremely surprised and excited about that since it had been many months since I had originally purchased everything. The service and staff at this store was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Very happy with all my experiences here and an sad that since my kids have gotten a little older, that I won't be able to shop here as much
