My grandparents bought this parcel lot, which included the 2 bungalows in the 1930s.

I was 2 years old when I visited my grands from Huntington Long Island, NY.

We moved to South Florida when I was 6 years old. Every year, we would spend spring break in the 2 bedroom cottage. My Aunt & Uncle lived there from the 70s til 90s, and they rented out the 1 bedroom bungalow located just steps behind the other.

Grandma had an ancient blue (bubble shaped) fridge with an odd door handle. The kitchen table & chairs were ancient as the fridge, stainless steel with blue padding for comfort. Similar to those retro diners/ice cream shops...

When my cousin took over, some updates began. Renovated on the insides and gone was the awful but so familiar green it used to be on the outside. Peach was a drastic but a much prettier color.

My cousin sold out after Hurricane Charlie took a hit on the bungalows (& my aunt's passing). I was devastated receiving the tragic news.

I'm scared to see what Hurricane Helene has done to this area and those bungalows at 13200 Gulf Boulevard!
I have my wonderful memories, IF the bungalows didn't survive the hurricane...

I pray for those gulfshore residents & homeowners!

The cottages are a cozy arrangement of quaint cottages with each cottage having its own outside sitting area for drinking coffee in the morning to sipping wine in the evening. Our one bedroom cottage had the sitting area right outside the bedroom. Our kitchen window looked out at the pool where there were plenty of lounge chairs to sun and a couple of thatched covered tables wrapped with white lights where we sat after dark for bedtime cocktails. The location is outstanding being a 10-minute walk to multiple restaurants, bars and shops. We 100% enjoyed our stay in The Cottages. So private and relaxing. Much prefer this compared to high rises, elevators and tons of people!

The cottages were clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach and John’s Pass ( great restaurants and shopping). The cottages provided a relaxing environment whether it was in the cottage itself, at the pool, or in the grilling area. We had a great time and will definitely return!

Awesome place! Next to a public beach access so very short walk the the beach, and tons of stuff across the street at John's Pass!

Change machine wasn't turned on, but other then that, quiet and peaceful. Washers and Dryers work great!!
