It is time to stop for some diesel and so we find ourselves at Guthrie Travel Center, or as my husband calls it Velaro's. There is also a Golden Chick eatery inside, but it is temporarily shut down due to remodeling.

We weren't here too long to check everything out, but what we did see was a little strange for a gas station. First off, I was running not walking to the restroom cause...you know this girl had to go! The restroom didn't smell bad, but there were wadded up paper towels on the counter, toilet paper on the floor and coming out of some of the stools. There was also a scale and a changing station in there. I couldn't get some of the faucets to work until I tried the very last one then BINGO we have a winner! Still not sure how I feel about those motion sensor things.

By the time I came out, my husband had done fueled and was heading into the men's restroom, which he said was clean. I started looking around and taking pictures. Actually the store smelled clean. One of the employees was wiping down his counter, continuously spaying cleaner all over. I also saw the door to the Golden Chick that had been closed off with plastic hanging down from the ceiling, boards on the floor and with saw dust.

Along with tons of fully stocked food, snacks and drinks was a corner filled with other products to purchase. Some of the items I've never seen before in a truck stop. The first to catch my eye was the white heads, for just $10.99 you can buy wig holders here! They also have very warm looking parkas.. aren't we about out of that season? There was also hats, sunglasses, purses, shirts, a kite on the wall that looks as though it didn't belong there along with the boxed up dolls at the top of the shelves holding the 2 lt. soda bottles and the wines.

We didn't end up buying anything here except the fuel, though I do want to mention that other than the guy so focused on cleaning his counter, at the other counter near the entrance was a young man sitting that greeted us both when we came in and upon exiting. He's kind of hidden where he's seated, but was friendly and smiling.. this has been an interesting stop.

I have never seen such disgusting bathrooms. This happened one other time and I thought I would try again. They do not care about sanitation, which means they cut corners in other areas. Nope.

The worse bathroom ever at a travel center!!! Broken bathroom doors, paper towels on the floors. Dirty toilets not flush horrible. Gas prices ok. Told the manager about the conditions of the bathroom and he just brushed it off. People even rode from the bathroom door that they needed to clean the doctors. Don’t waste your time stopping here. No compressed air, no squeegee ( unless you want to use a metal bar to scratch ) , no water and a manager that could care less

Building smells like a bathroom and the bathrooms are not sanitary or properly maintained. Do not stop here and expect to have a pleasant experience.

Bathroom doors you need someone to hold shut unless you don’t care about your everything showing to the world tolit don’t flush all they way always smells bad in there over all go to loves across the street it’s way better

Bathrooms were horrific. Should have taken pictures. TP everywhere. Half the stalls didn't even lock. Embarrassing and in no way represents the city. Just use Love's across the street or something.
