Worth the stop. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us about the history of the drug store and odd facts about the uses of some of the items. We really enjoyed the stop. We also strolled through the Apothecary Garden next door afterwards, and let the little one run around for a bit.

I like going to museums. This was well done. Two thumbs up. Packed with several items. So many old remedies. It even had an old style fountain. Back in the day you probably could have gotten a cherry coke, or maybe a root beer float. Maybe even a banana split or a nectar soda. It was pleasant walking around Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Really neat place stuffed full of drugstore history. Love that you're able to flip through books and open drawers. All the old treatments are fascinating, definitely worth taking the time to read boxes.

Cute little place. I'm from Guthrie, but I havent been in here since I was a young kid. It was nice to look around and see all the oldschool medications and remedies people used to use. I even got a free wooden nickel. It was a cute place to visit. I took lots of pictures to share with yall I hope you enjoy and from there can make the decision whether or not you want to go in and visit

If you're into historical apothecary stuff this place should be pinned on your map. You'll see the usual mortar/pestles and bottles, but also off the wall things as well (see pics). The docent was knowledgeable, albeit chatty. I enjoyed my visit to the store and Guthrie in general. I think there was a $5 fee, but for me, well worth the price of admission. The hubs and I stumbled upon the Apothecary Garden which, in turn, led us to the museum! The garden was beautiful and well groomed, the small pond was vibrant and incredibly peaceful. The museum was super rad and the ladies working were extremely informative, taking time to share a lot of history with us as we rummaged through the old medicine bottles and prescription books.
If you are looking for a nice day trip, Guthrie's historical downtown has a lot to offer you! If you do go, make sure you take time to come to this museum, you won't be disappointed!
