What a great little find!! The shop owners are so kind and also share information about other shops downtown that people might be interested in. You can try pieces of candy for free. My son and I tried the pickle flavors saltwater Taffy, and it honestly tasted like a dill pickle. There are so many different flavors of saltwater taffy that it's hard to choose. If you haven't had the pleasure of this sweet shop, you should make time to stop by and check it out. I bought some candy that I hadn't seen since I was in grade school. And there adult chocolate would make a great gift. We definitely will be going back!!

Our visit to “Licorice Man!” was among the highlights of our visit to Guthrie, OK! Owner/operators Rick & Cherie proved to be terrific ambassadors for Guthrie, as well as the nuances of the incredible selection of candies that they sell. When we walked in the door, Rick immediately greeted us and oriented us to the fun and unique candy culture of their store - complimentary bottled water, and free samples of any candy you’d like to try, from Coconut Curry or Pickle flavored saltwater taffy, to the Sirius Chocolate Licorice treats. Rick and Cherie know everything there is to know about licorice, and carry brands that hail from Australia, Holland, Finland, and all over the world. For those who aren’t particular fans of licorice (what’s wrong with you 😂) rest assured that this is way more than a licorice-only candy store. They have something for everyone!

What’s not to like about a candy store?!!!

Especially when there are several and I mean several that bring back memories from when I was a kid!

The owner, Cherie was an absolute gem! She provided lots of information on her business and types of candy. This is definitely on my list to return when the sweet tooth hits!!

My family and I had the pleasure of visiting this little candy shop. I was so thoroughly impressed by the level of customer service. He allowed us to try any piece of candy prior to buying, and even after buying our Italian sodas he offered to exchange them if we didn’t like them (they were fantastic so we kept them) I would come back to this store any time. He came out behind the counter and opened the door for us.

This shop and the man that owns it could not be more sweet! Visiting this place far exceeded my expectations. My kids had a great time, too, naturally. The licorice selection from across the globe and his understanding of it was enjoyable and educational. God bless!

Love this little Gem!!! We are GenXer’s and it was like walking back in time to our youth of the Candyman Store. Brought back good wholesome memories that left us with new ones. We will be back!!! The owners are so sweet and kind. They even have a donation box he uses for the kids that not might be able to buy candy… but he makes sure everyone is taken care of….❤️.

Such welcoming and kind owners/workers. We were able to sample the candy, and they had so many kinds- older candy, and they’ll do unique requests and find them too. Definitely recommend
