I’ve been in a few times and have taken a class for beginning knitters. Being a lefty it’s hard for people to teach me, but they are trying I love the selection of yarn and the fact that when you pay for a class you are not charged again until you move to another stage. I’m most definitely a beginner. My plan is to also take crochet classes. The staff is good and they are trying to help me out.

I have been here many times. I love this shop! It's one of my favorites in OK. They have a wonderful series of giveaways every year and fantastic selection of yarn in a shop with a cozy atmosphere. All the employees are friendly and helpful. They have a really good online presence as well with a blog, Facebook, and a YouTube channel (and probably more I'm unaware of). Drop in and see what classes they offer as well.

Wow, this shop is super cute and trendy, with a great selection of yarns to choose from! The employees were helpful and kind, as was the proprietess, and I look forward to visiting there again soon!
Since they are a Rowan flagship store, they have all the Rowan yarns available to feel and purchase. This store also has other popular quality brands like Urth, Baah, Regia, Spud and Chloe, etc. They have a large selection of needles and hooks, as well as pattern books and notions to aid in making.
A few things that stood out to me. First, their selection of incredibly cute London made vegan bags - each one has a different store front, and they are awesome!! Second, there's a drink bar in the class area, where one can purchase a bottle of water or grab some coffee. I love how they have an area dedicated to making the store comfortable to their makers! Third and finally, they have clearly labeled price points on all their items, including the discount bins, so one can puruse and know how much it will end up being.
Very high quality and trendy yarn store, highly recommend!

My wife recently began knitting and visited Swak to get simple advice on a knitting repair she was working on for her own sweater.. as well as purchase needles and yarn. The owner refused to give her advice on the knitting unless she had purchased the sweater there. Needless to say my wife left without the advice or making her intended purchases. She then went to a shop in Edmond that gladly helped her with the sweater and in turn won our business that day and for the future.
