First time there, they have a clearance rack outside and I chose something and took it to the register. Mind you, they had multiple of the same thing and was told that it was not on clearance.It was double the price. They all were marked down to 29. Dollars. The associate proceeds to tell me somebody marked all of them down. She knew and they were still out there and then she proceeds to tell me if I don't want it, it won't hurt her feelings. I will not be returning.

I am always nervous to visit boutiques because the clothing runs small and the staff isn’t very helpful. I went in not expecting to find anything, I was helped by Caroline who was super sweet and she even picked out a few things for me to try on. The clothing did run small but one of the shirts she picked out for me I tried it on and loved it! She even found a pair of earrings I loved. I will definitely be back!

I was a little nervous coming here because of some of the reviews but I had a wonderful experience and found what I was looking for. I had my two year old with me who's a wild boy and the girl working there was very kind and even played with him so I could try on clothes. The boutique is beautiful with great assortments, I look forward to my next visit.

The staff was amazing the owner was very helpful in finding the perfect outfit. I love shopping here. I know there are some bad reviews for this store but please don't trust them they are so bias. The workers are so helpful and friendly. If you ever get a chance to stop and shop here, I would definitely recommend this store.

FOR ALL THAT SAY YOU HAVE WORKED OR HAVE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THE COTTON GIN BOUTIQUE: Just to clarify the details, the owner told me on my FIRST DAY, “Did you MEAN to wear that or...” I thought i looked pretty cute! For all the women who know how it feels like to be told you don’t look good, you can imagine how i, a teenage girl, felt at that moment. She did not give me the option to change. She just told me in the FUTURE, I could if I wanted. I finished the day feeling horrible, but i kept my head up and did as much as I could. The other employees told me there was nothing else I could do to help, and that it was a slow day. She also told me she didn’t even like my outfit, which had come from a more popular boutique down the street. I wore my best jewelry and shoes. I had woken up at 5:00 that morning and spent hours preparing for my first day. The second day, I came in an even NICER outfit from the same boutique. The dress code was very briefly discussed and the dress code didn’t sound strict because the other girls were wearing jeans! The owner embarrassed me in front of the other workers and called me to the back to tell me that my outfit was “drab” and it did not fit her standards. The owner was wearing jeans and a t shirt. All I could get out of my mouth was “yes ma’am” the entire time she was criticizing me about my outfit. She handed me twenty dollars and told me to get lost. I held these details from my family out of pure embarrassment. A few days later, my mother asked why I was actually fired. I told her the horrific details of my experience and she was absolutely shocked. She called the owner and the owner did not deny a single thing that had happened. She told my mother that I did not look good enough and that I should have spent more time getting ready and not be so early to work. She told her my makeup, hair, and outfit needed to be completely re done. She said I didn’t look like I tried hard enough. My mother was very polite and thanked her for telling the truth. So, for all that said they fully support the Cotton Gin, I used to also. It used to be my absolute favorite store for a long long time. Once i found out what really happens behind the scenes, I couldn’t believe it. I was horrified. You may have your own opinion about the situation, but my family and I choose not to support a business that tells women they do not look good enough. The owner claims on her facebook page that the business is meant to make women feel good about themselves and to build them up. The way she treats other women and what she said on her page does not add up. I am fortunate that I did not have to endure this judgement for long. If you still support The Cotton Gin, you must be perfect!

My fave local shop! Really cool clothes you don't see at the boring big box stores, and their prices are very reasonable. The sales people at both stores in my area are also very friendly and helpful.
