I sent in my US Army Vietnam era M17A1 binoculars for repair. The issue was one side had a lot of dirt and fungus in the lens, they needed collimation, and there was no strap. I got them back in about five weeks and couldn't be happier. They are crystal clear and the collimation is perfect. They put on a new strap and sent me the fitting I needed to fix my other pair. These binoculars are at least 50 years old and they are as clear and clean as the day they came out of the factory. I highly recommend this business.

I just got my 50 year-old Bushnell Custom Compact binoculars back and couldn't be happier! After some minor repairs, they were professionally cleaned and readjusted. They function just like they were new. Well worth the cost compared to buying new ones. By the way, the actual Bushnell Corporation Repair Center (in Kansas) said my binoculars were "out of warranty" (well, duh!) and they wouldn't touch them. All of my hunting and bird watching friends will be told of Suddarth's optical repair professionalism.

I sent my binoculars in for a cleaning and eyepiece repair before a trip to Patagonia. The eye pieces were repaired well but the lenses no longer focused together so I could not bird on my trip.

Cory told me to send them back in for an adjustment as misalignment can happen. I sent them back in and they said they would fix them. After a month with no update I asked how things were going. Cory’s response was rude and said that I must have broken my binoculars on my trip (impossible since I kept them in Suddarth packaging in my bag until I got to Patagonia and nothing was damaged in travel). After my reply he then said Eric would fix them. A month later they showed up in the mail with a refund for the original repair (not including the three times I paid for shipping) with a note saying they were ‘too broken.’ These binoculars worked when I originally sent them in, they were dirty and the eyepieces fell off, but they worked.

I work in customer service, I used to work in technical sales. I understand things don’t go to plan all of the time and sometimes you have to deliver bad news. The complete lack of communication and accusations is disheartening. I do not recommend this business. Two stars because the eyepiece work itself was good but the binoculars are now unusable.

Highly recommend! Fantastic friendly service. Very knowledgeable and my Carl Zeiss binoculars are working amazing. I inherited them so never knew how great they could be until I sent them to Cory. Very happy with the money spent to bring them back to their former glory.

We had our Swift binoculars repaired after we dropped them and knocked them out of wack. When we got them back we couldn’t ever remember them looking so crystal clear and perfect focus! They did a fantastic job and we are so grateful. They do totally professional work, a total cleaning, at a reasonable price, fairly quickly, and use bombproof packaging! Highly recommended.

We had a pair of Canon binoculars that had a rubberized outer coating on that broke down over time and got sticky. We are not the only ones experiencing that problem. We sent the binoculars to Suddarth Optical Repair. The repair was well and professionally done and was accomplished well within the stated time frame. It's almost like the binoculars are brand new! We highly recommend this company.

I had a 45+ y/o pair of Zeiss 7x50 Jenoptem owned from new. The internal prisms were being affected by fungus and clarity was compromised. Suddarth Optical Repair have done a wonderful job of cleaning and restoring the optics. They are now, literally, as good as new. Easy to deal with, professional and responsive - highly recommended, will definitely use again.

I’ve had the guys overhaul three vintage Bausch & Lomb (US manufactured) glasses over the last three years and they do a terrific job. I’m currently waiting on a SARD Model 21, 7x50 Naval Air Service glass circa 1942 that is getting a military spec overhaul. They’ll be ready for another century.
