This place is the greatest!! I was driving through and had two hours before I would be home (I’m not from the area). About 30 minutes before going through Woodward I knew something had happened to my pickup. The steering and brakes were not responding normally. I limped in to Woodward and stopped by Hutches to ask where a mechanic shop was. They recommended Check Engine and said to talk to Joey. By the time I drove into the parking lot my brakes were hot enough they were smoking. Joey was able to get my pickup in right away to have it diagnosed. I am a single woman who has no idea about car mechanics. So I can’t explain what they did to fix my pickup. All I know is they were kind enough to make my pickup a priority and put two mechanics on it. They worked on it for up to 3 hours which ran them over the time when they usually close the shop. Joey was amazing the whole time. He explained what was going on with my pickup and provided company during my stay (while doing his work). The owner came through the office and was so kind, telling me he appreciated my business and expressing that he knows what it’s like to have car troubles while out traveling. My pickup has been running great since it was fixed at Check Engine. I cannot express enough appreciation to the Check Engine staff for their coming to my rescue. If I lived in the Woodward area this is the place I would go for all my mechanics needs. Not just because they have great mechanics but also because they live out great character. Thanks again Check Engine. You all are the best!!
