My favorite bookstore in town - pretty good selection! The staff are helpful when I need to order any books they don’t have in stock and the cafe upstairs is a great spot to read and work 🙂

My wife read it somewhere listing best bookstores in the states, best bookstore in Oregon supposedly...

Was not impressed, small shop with not alot of selection, been to many nicer shops in Oregon. Granted, I'm not a person who visits book stores. My wife found some books she was looking for but was disappointed for the top of her list, not uncommon books...

Still, employees were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Best in Oregon according to some list. I'd say no, however, a nice warm feeling bookstore with friendly, helpful employees.

Upstairs was cute, the cafe was closed though.

Staff was not helpful, and rather rude. My husband and i had never been in, i had never heard of the bookstore before but he wanted to suprise me for my birthday. I asked if they were new or used books and the lady behind the desk scoffed at me before saying the books were new.

I couldnt find the childrens book i was looking for. A Very Hungry Caterpiller for my young daughter, i was heading up to ask if the lady knew if they had that when i heard her telling another couple "I dont know if we have it, you'll just have to look yourselves."

We left shortly after that, and Amazon had A Very Hungry Caterpillar.

My husband and I went here for the first time on a Monday morning right at 9:15. We were both impressed with the selection of prominent authors with a smattering of local gems that piqued our interests. It felt like the book tables and shelves were lovingly curated, which added even more to the experience. If you get overwhelmed with visual clutter and tightly packed bookshelves, give this place a try! After you buy your books, make your way upstairs to grab a coffee and croissant for a cozy and peaceful morning.
