Not friendly. Rude to a customer right in front of me. The owner treats it more like a pawn shop than a friendly coin shop.

I was there on a Wednesday morning, wasn't even sure they're open and a voice rings out from inside "Doors Open!!".

Walked in and chatted for 30 mins, he even called the owner of the adjacent candle shop to let her know she's have 2 customers (no reply), and I ended up buying, by my choice, a very worn 1881 silver dollar to use as a poker card marker. Afterwards I realized he could have fleeced me and I looked the approx value up, he did me square.

I live in TX and plan to revisit Astoria...and return to this shop for other items I saw.

Had a fantastic experience. My young daughter has been very interested in wheat pennies since seeing one of mine that I've had since I was a kid. I brought her in and the gentlemen running this place took the time to show her around and really spark that passion for her, and took the time to say a prayer with us as well. We've had a blast looking though the pennies we got and setting up the coin books, and she can't wait to find more!

Scott was as friendly as could be. Very accommodating to my young kid who accompanied me. His prices were great and he was very knowledgeable about numismatics. I will certainly be back. Great coin shop!

As a coin collector, anytime I'm in a new area, I look for a coin shop. Today's find was Clatsop Coin Shop in Astoria Oregon. It's a little shop with amazing coins everywhere you look. Walking in I was greeted by the shop owner, who was extremely friendly and informative. He has the shop completely organized and in good order. Has everything from older to newer coins, gold and silver. Walking out I personally felt I got a great deal on my finds, I would highly recommend any coin collector looking for that specific something. Cause this shop probably has it! Absolutely loved being there, a little shop with big surprises. Owner was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable when I was in and was very into answering questions and talking coins. Prices are great to, very down to earth. Would definitely go again.

Nice little shop. I was surprised to see so much. Lots of coin related products. And plenty of numismatic pieces. I went in for silver bullion. They had plenty. Prices were reasonable. The gentleman running the place was very kind and helpful. Would shop here again.
