there's something special about this St. Vinnies. it's well organized, junk-free, and they obviously put care into keeping the store nice - it's not a pile of chaos and dust bunnies. the higher-end furniture can be spendy, but for clothes, books, appliances and household goods, you'll save SO much if you shop the sale tags. (did i mention books? this is a fabulous place for books) I bring out-of-town friends here to shop and no one ever leaves without a cool treasure or useful find.

Wonderful, logical, consistent organization. It's a fun place to go when you need to get out of the house but don't want to spend a lot of money. It has the best selection, best quality second handle merchandise. And if you are a collector!

Not for broke people! This store is SO EXPENSIVE! I get the impression that they don’t actually want to sell the donations but rather they price them extremely high to keep the store looking full. I saw a patio set for $400 and a dresser for $700 lol.

There’s no customer service. I really do get the impression that they don’t want to sell the donations they receive. The cashiers seemed very aloof.

Lots of clothing priced at eBay prices, not local thrift store prices.

I love this store. When I go thrift shopping I always hit this place first. They always have exciting and ever changing selection of items and they usually have great prices on their stuff, although not always. The store is big and doesnt feel at all crowded. They have a great book section that I love. The people are nice and the checkout is quick. In Albany this is by far the best thrift store. The big name competitor down the road just doesn't compare.

Some things are reasonably priced, such as the books, but most of the prices are ridiculous especially the furniture.

This place has an interesting selection. One serious problem they have is this, Who the heck is pricing their items?!
I find it super incongruent for a thrift store, which in the past had lower prices for previously owned articles, to be pricing their inventory so incredibly high.
Now I'm not hurting, but it's like a slap in the face of those struggling financially, that so many items are priced outrageously high!
The staff are friendly, and it's mostly clean. I enjoy shopping there for the weird and bizarre items they get.

Always the best overall value thrift store, my perennial favorite! Everyday is Seniors 10% off everything. And they have 25% and 50% off weekly. Cannot be beat for overall selection. Staff is excellent and welcoming. If you donate items you get a free 20% off coupon for use on full price items! They rock!

A great one to pop into. Prices are reasonable, many good items of clothing, furniture, shoes and more. It's easy to spend 1 or 2 hours in the book section. Staff is very helpful, store is always clean and neat. St Vincent is one of my major stops in Albany!!
