I have made a few hand tool purchases at this store and had a tool repaired under warranty, but the guy that operates this store really provided a great customer service experience for me on February 5 2025. I took a broken tool in for repair, he took a quick look at it, Explained the issue an easy fix and handed it back to me. He easily could have checked my tool in and called me a week later with a bill for his time. Outstanding customer Relations! 100% will be a customer again!

This was my first and last time entering the store. I was passing by as I had some time to kill, I went in, took a look around, maybe spent 15 minutes looking, yes I looked through the whole store. I didn’t know what I could use, I didn’t go there with a plan - Im not going to apologize for that. I asked about a Makita saw, and battery, just to see how much it would cost me to get into that saw. The price he gave was reasonable(I think he said 410-420$) but for 450$ I could get the exact brand new saw/battery/charger from Home Depot (with warranty and all that jazz). So I didn’t get the saw, just didn’t seem smart to skimp on new with such a small difference in price.
So I moved on, I saw he had chisels, I needed on of those as I go through them pretty quick. I walk up and the guy at the counter, owner maybe. With a ridiculous tone in his voice says “all the looking for just a chisel?” Then he proceeded to tell me that “out of the WHOLE store he looses money on chisels the most.” I laughed, I’m like what? “He said you see how sharp that is?” I said yes, that’s why I’m buying it.
I asked if he sharpened them and he said he sharpens every chisel himself.

Listen sir, if you are providing a service, charge for it. But don’t TRY and make people feel bad when they purchase something and you don’t like it. Not my fault. Maybe charge a little more for the chisels, or simply don’t sharpen them. I am much younger than this gentlemen and he simply acted like a child who didn’t get his way.

I got a really sharp chisel. So thanks for that.

We took a power tool in for repair in August, got it back after 3 weeks and it didn't work due to bad part but it wasn't tested before it left the shop to know it wasn't working. Took it back and heard nothing for 3 more weeks. Stopped in to ask about it and was told it was going to be sent out to the manufacturer for repair. That was another 3 weeks ago. No calls or communication of any kind. I have had to call or stop in to get any information every step of the way. I called today and was treated very impolitely and the call ended abruptly. I can get past the rudeness if the tool was repaired properly and in a timely manner but none of this has happened. I was told it might be another two weeks "but it's not uncommon for repair to take a year or more." Not true from past experience with other shops but he was the one who worked on our brand of tool. We WILL NOT ever use this guy again or recommend his shop.

Very rude. I just called to see if they were interested in a compressor I had. And the guy was very short with me and asked how much I wanted and I told him and the guys said I’ll pass and hung up on me. He didn’t try to negative or anything. I think that is bad business. I called Bend Pawn shop first and they were very helpful. They straight up told me how much they would pay for it and how much they are selling the compressors for and they even said if your looking to get a little more and they gave me a couple names to call. So Bend Pawn Shop very helpful and I wish more businesses could be like Bend Pawn. Helpful And polite. I wouldn’t recommend Trade-N-Tools - very rude and they hang up on you.

Tool N Trade has some good prices on tools on certain things and has some good deals but the costumer service is HORRIBLE. The owner is extremely rude and incompetent. Unless he is making a sale he doesn’t care about your time or questions, he isn’t friendly. Will never be returning due to the attitude. We bought a tool with no battery. Thought the tool was a good deal and he said it was brand new. Come to find out that we can buy the tool brand new for $30 more with a battery and charger. But for a new battery it’s $80. When we went to return it he said “nothing is wrong with it so we will only do in store credit.” How does he know nothing is wrong with it if he doesn’t have the battery’s in store to prove it?

Extremely rude guy. My friend and I brought in her old tools and didn't know much about them but was referred to this company by cash connection..he looked at the tools for 3 seconds, slammed it shut and said NOPE!! It doesn't cost you anything to be a kind person. You could have said, ladies these are a bit outdated, and I unfortunately don't take these but I appreciate you coming in. So unprofessional and so disrespectful. Don't come to this business, you will not get common decency
