I have empathy for the reviewer who was treated extremely rudely by a woman volunteer there. She was extremely nasty to me also (probably the same person) and all I did was ask a question. As someone who volunteered at a food pantry for several years I'm shocked this woman is allowed to volunteer. Maybe she owns the place and that's how she gets away with it. I don't know but I DO know I will never go back on a Wednesday (when I encountered her) and if I ever do have the misfortune of going when she is there I will not leave a donation. Otherwise the available bread is a pretty good selection and most the volunteers friendly and helpful.

Great place to get free bread- its all near expiration but donate a couple of bucks and get English muffins sour dough rounds, multi grain whole wheat, rolls hamburger and hot dog buns lots left over specialty. AND if you get there early enuff - sweet treats doughnuts and muffins cakes all free - well don't be cheap you are getting for free so give them some green
3 $1s a $5 or $10 - think of how much it is at store ..then put in at least a buck or 2

I have visited this place for years, never a problem. I went there 9/20 and I was treated so rudely by a lady there because I mistakenly was grabbing a loaf of bread off the bottom of the doughnut rack the sign said 1 per family so I took 1 box of doughnuts. I was taking a loaf of bread off the very bottom shelf. She yelled at me. "You can only have 1" Even though she was yelling out the door at me when she saw the car I was driving, it was washington plates. I yelled back it isn't my even my car. Do you need to see my drivers license or what? Then she started screaming "God bless you at me." It was horrible people were walking out, saying she could have handled that way differently. She doesn't know me or my story, not that she needs to, but I have never felt so be littled in my life.
I didn't know we needed to prove residency at the bread site that operated on donations from us and stores. It is very sad that someone could be so rude and disrespectful.
I felt like I was stealing. Needless to say, I gave no contribution to the money box this visit. I don't pay for disrespect

Absolutely love going there to get my bread granted sometimes they have what I need and sometimes they don't but that's the thing with free items I don't know what I do without it it saves me I'm quite a bit of money so I can buy other grocery items and when picking season comes for gardens they have some fresh vegetables and fruit sometimes and I got to say thank you to all the wonderful volunteers otherwise the place would not be there without their hard work

You are encouraged to take as much as you want. Bread is free, but I always try to leave a donation. So much food goes to waste in this country, its nice that these people try to do something about that issue.

Wonderful place that accepts donations for bread & bakery products. Staffed by volunteers. Sometimes they even have fresh produce outside.
