I was so excited to try this coffee shop out! I love trying new coffee places and the aesthetic was right up my ally but when I walked in I quickly felt out of place. I wasn’t greeted upon entering and despite there being 3+ workers no one took my order until another customers drink was complete.. the girls were just sitting around which I thought was weird but okay.. then I finally ordered and moved to the side to wait on my drink to be finished when another lady walks in and was greeted. It’s a good thing it was almost an hour from me because I won’t be back. The coffee was just okay.. nothing special and I have had way better in Enterprise.

The Betty White, a close second in popularity, is also worth a try for those seeking something unique and delicious. All of their drink options come in decaf.

What makes Grit + Grind even more special is its story. It started as a humble coffee trailer and has grown into a vibrant brick-and-mortar shop, a testament to the passion and dedication of its owners.

If you ever find yourself in Opp, AL, Grit + Grind is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're grabbing a cup to go or settling in to soak up the ambiance, it’s a small town coffee shop experience you won’t forget!

My daughter and I LOVE Grit and Grind! I love how the owners have taken the vacant store front and made it such a beautiful spot for downtown Opp. If you had a national popular name brand store next to Grit and Grind, I would chose Grit and Grind over their basic products any day of the week. The Coastal Red bull Refresher is my personal favorite. It's perfect for any time of year but it really hits the spot on those South Alabama Summer days. My ONLY complaint is that they aren't open late enough but that is only because I'm a night shift nurse and G&G would be absolutely divine at 3 a.m. I love the breakfast bagels and sandwiches.

Surrounded by space for sale and failed business stands this wonderful little coffee shop.
Opp hasn't had a spot for anything than folgers straight from the pot to my knowledge ever, and this delightful little spot crept in last April. I keep my fingers crossed they'll continue to do well.

Beautiful use of the older downtown building, colorful balloons and murals on the walls as well as two large well laid out menus. The staff were pleasant and quick with my order which was the Candy Bar Frap with peanut butter drizzle. Amazing.

Don't sleep on that cranberry & blood orange refresher, be prepared to have your mind blown over the frozen hot chocolates, and be sure to try the best candy bar cold brew you ever did see.

G&G made me a coffee snob! Once you’ve had a taste of that luscious Salty OG iced latte you’ll never be satisfied at another coffee shop! My girls and I also love to grab a sandwich or pizza and dine in… my oldest even had her birthday party at G&G with a barista on hand. They loved it!
