Their Taqueria is amazing. I lived for 12 years in Guadalajara and I'd I'm feeling like getting some real Mexican food I know that Chavez will always be a good choice.

Just purchased a enchilada al pastor plate. Sauce is not good. It's mild but still too salty that you can't even taste the flavor of food. Plate costs more than at other taquerias in the region. Poor quality meat.

Mabe it's the Latin in me but Chavez has as long as I can remember made the best carnitas in redwood city and beyond!

Yes this is a blow to a local restaurant but pound for pound Chavez will kick your *ss. Friendly staff clean store what more can be said.

Where else can you get mexican pan? aka spanish bread or pastry. Delish! I grew up in little mexico.. so I know what the real thing tastes like... and this place comes close to home!!! Also I got here for rice pudding... they make it nice and thick and the way it should be.
