We went out with Capt Jake on the Perseverance last week and everyone caught their limit by 1:30. He knows how to find the spots and the crew is top notch. Even if you are a newbee, they are very patient and helpful. Great equipment, very professional. Even though we were near capacity (17), it didn’t feel crowded. We came home with 25 lb of delicious halibut, rock cod, and pacific cod. Would definitely go again!

Koby put us on the meat! By far the best day of fishing we had in Seward. Wish we booked the entire trip with Koby and The Fish House. He is totally driven to get everyone lots of fish. He works hard to get everyone on the meat and knows how to change up the set ups to what’s working. I love that in a captain

We used Fishhouse charter yesterday to fish halibut and rockfish. The boat trip from Seward to the fishing grounds is little bit longer, about two and a half hours. The boat set off for fishing at about 8:30am and we started fishing only by 11am, little too late I think as in my previous outings fishing started in the early morning hours.

We maxed out with our halibut and rockfish limits within two hours though. It looked like there are plenty of fish in the area. But the captain of the boat set the expectations very low in the beginning and claimed the it’s the tail end of the season and there many not to be any fish left.

The other charters seem to have taken their customers to fish for other species like lingcod and yellow eye rockfish, and took time to display the catch at the shore for taking pictures. I had a feeling that we were rushed through the whole process though we paid around $400 per head. If you are in Seward and plan to use a charter I suggest you shop around for better service. Looks like there are better options in the town.

Wow what an amazing trip with Captain Koby! We fished several day with several boats and he was the best. He put us on the fish and worked extremely hard all day. My wife and daughter felt pampered and taking care of from the time we met at the dock in the morning. We fished hard from start to finish and his filleting skills are impeccable. If your looking to go out and fish Seward definitely look up the fish house. All of their captains work hard to put you on the fish. Excellent operation!

Captain Jake and crew were great. Filled out even though it was rainy. Great trip and would highly recommend:) it took me the last minute to catch my last Halibut and the whole crew were cheering me on ! No pressure when you’re the last one with a rod in your hand ! What a fun day ! Thanks Jake , Steve , and Aiden !! Great job 🙂 Hope to be back next year !

We are from the east cost. Came in September for vacation. It was “off season” so what we caught is considered a small catch. We walked away with 22 lbs of fish… off season? See you next summer!

Captain Jim was not the friendliest but he put us on fish consistently and made sure everyone was catching them. Group only caught 4 salmon and I felt like we didn’t spend enough time on them. The deckhands were great and never stopped working the whole day on a ten hour trip. Tipped them a hundred and Came home with 40 pounds of fish so did ok. First trip to Alaska so we had nothing to compare to but one in Hawaii last year that was a bust.

Had an incredible time. All in our boat, I think there were 14, hit our Halibut limit. Highly recommend them. The captain and crew were awesome. Thanks for the great exoerienvmce.
