I stopped in to see if they had any beading books. There was no real order to the crafting section. But there seemed to be about a thousand crafting books. The prices were absolutely amazing.. I will be a long time supporter.

High prices for a used bookstore. Walked in ecstatic, lots of books, some great finds. Walked out less enthusiastic after feeling a bit fleeced.

I went back to the book store to purchase some books for the upcoming month. The rudest man I’ve ever met works there now and Leah (the young woman who had me coming back to this shop for months) no longer works there. I explained to this man that there were $2 - $6 discount stickers on books from places like Walmart or Salvation Army but Already Read marked them up to $13 in USED condition. A brand new book on Amazon was $7.99 but Already Read had it priced at $14 in a damaged and poor condition. I’m talking broken spines, bent pages, torn pages, and warping, water damage. It’s one thing to tell a patronage who has spent HUNDREDS of dollars in this store, (who was also incredibly kind and polite no less) “no, you can pay these outrageous prices or leave” but the condescending attitude of this man treating me like I was the dumbest person on the planet for pointing out basic math will have me and all my book friends NEVER coming back until they hire someone like Leah again. My husband was equally appalled at the attitude of this employee because he was even rude to him when my husband told me I was being ripped off and taken advantage of. Also the discount of “the more you buy the more you save” and “make an offer if you find it cheaper online” are no longer something they offer. Buyers beware, unless you want to pay double the price of a brand new book, avoid this store and spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else.

Leah was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I was offered a box to make carrying the books easier and she gave me a deal for buying so much which made me buy more books. Their buy back book program for store credit is SO MUCH BETTER than Inkwells in Soldotna. I will never go back to the Soldotna used book store after visiting this one in Kenai. A much higher quality of service, prices, and inventory. I’ve recommended this book store to all my book lover friends and will continue to do so. Happy reading!

Awesome little book store with great prices. Tons of books inside, organized but not perfect. I think the bit of chaos makes going into the store just that much better. Kinda wish it were bigger with a coffee shop inside, but that’s asking a lot.
The person at the front (owner?) was very nice and was happy to entertain our 2-year-old who mostly just wanted to run around. Can’t wait to go back and get more books!

If you read a lot, and I do in the winter, this place has it all. Sifting through the stacks looking for hidden treasures is pure happiness. Nice folks, reasonable prices, and return credit. We are fortunate to have this place in our community.

Greeted warmly as soon as I walked thru the door until I walked out. Every type of book can be found stacked to the ceiling. Spend time looking for your treasures. Enjoy a chair or couch with that new book. Kid friendly. The do take in gently used books for store credit. Any book nerds paradise!

OMG! AH-MAZING! The whole o real concept purchase / buy back for books is a novel idea! (Pun intended) Every book imaginable, great look and feel to the store, I really think putting up this string large light bulbs along the side of bldg by name would catch alot of attention and look perfect with sign already hung up.
