I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful complex, and I can honestly say it was a great experience for me and my family.

The natural light that fills each room is simply stunning. The open concept was great with small kids. I wanted to be able to have eyes on them while in the kitchen.

Not only was the apartment nice, but the club room was spacious and beautiful. We even held a birthday party there and it turned out great.

The location wasn’t ideal, but we had no complaints.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!

This complex has a water problem. Extraordinarily high water utilities. There have been 3 emergency water shut offs without any notice over the last 4 months. Each time, management provided no timeline for repairs except saying they are HOPEFUL it will be fixed by the end of the day and had no knowledge about the exact issue before shutting off the water. And then there are surprise charges regarding garbage collection utilities and you can read about the parking situation in the other comments.

I've been a resident for 3 years here at Anton Menlo and reading these 1 star reviews are a complete joke. Please read them and take it with a grain of salt. There are 3 buildings here and I've lived in two of them. Each year, before lease renewal I have looked into moving closer to work like San Mateo and Burlingame, but every time I go apartment shopping none of the places I looked at were comparable to Anton with the price point that I pay at this property. I must have the same morning schedule as the maintenance team cause I always see them cleaning, wiping, and mopping the lobby areas in each building as I walk around with my dog in the morning. Gym is always clean, cafe and clubhouse is always clean. I love this community, the neighbors I say hello to and the ones who say it back, the free Philz coffee (yes, I've seen the team refill the coffee machine with Philz coffee bags), and the convenient car charging ports.

Now, lets talk about parking. There was a time last year that parking was getting ridiculous. All the good spots were taken, but there were still plenty of parking spots in the back. Management did send out multiple emails every month letting us know they received numerous complaints about insufficient parking. Their solution was to tow all the cars without car tags visible in their car. This went on for a couple months. Parking seemed to still be an issue for folks, since another email went out about changing to Parkade due to residents still complaining about parking. I swear, its the people who complain about everything that make the situation worse. Yes, obviously I was annoyed that parking cost had increased, but when I look at other luxury apts, their parking cost was double the amount compared to Anton. Also, reading these 1 star reviews about parking is laughable and completely fake. Really makes me question all the bad apartment reviews I read online when I was shopping around. The entire apartment complex had flyers posted EVERYWHERE about the new parking process. Literally everywhere. On all the entrance doors for each building, in all the elevators, and all the damn emails we got telling us about Parkade for MONTHS (not just the holidays) and what we needed to do. You really couldn't miss it unless you just never looked up from your phone, never read the emails, and always looked down when walking.

Box office - I have a love/hate relationship with it, but I appreciate management writing our apt numbers on the boxes to easily indicate which one is mine instead of rummaging. Now, Amazon Fresh drivers are sometimes lazy and will just deliver my groceries in the box office. That's annoying, especially if I don't get it before 10pm since it locks everyone out.

Pet Spa - love it, my back doesn't hurt from washing my dog inside my bathtub anymore since they have standing height sinks. Plus when I dry my dog the hair doesn't go everywhere in my bathroom. Does the spa get messy in there with all the dog hair? Absolutely. Am I going to complain about that? No, why would I? It's a freaking pet spa.

Management - one of the many reasons why I can't move out from this complex is the management team. Lewie, Suli, Andres have always been welcoming, personable, and responsive. I hope they never leave. People leaving negative feedbacks about them being rude is outrageous. I've seen first hand residents yell at their face for this parking debacle or when we had an issue with hot water for a couple days. Shit happens, but you don't yell at people who don't have control over these issues. But it makes them feel better and leave negative reviews. Maybe I'm biased because I'm nice to them and they're nice to me? What a conundrum...

Now, the one complaint I have is that the side walks have become very bare. Almost all the mulch is gone, which I really hope they replenish it since my dog is allergic to grass. Yes, that's a real thing. Please replenish the landscape with mulch. Overall, I love this place, the people, the parking, and the monthly club events they host with the food truck. Its fun.

I recently moved out after living here, and I would not recommend this apartment to others. There were several frustrating issues throughout my lease:

Unexpectedly High Utility Bills: For a 1B1B unit, I was regularly charged $250–$400 per month just for water and sewer. There’s no itemized breakdown because the utility costs are shared by the entire building, making it hard to verify or understand what you're paying for.

Unfair Contract Changes: The parking fee was increased dramatically during the middle of my lease. Apparently, they can change the terms, but tenants can’t. On top of that, I often found my assigned parking spot occupied by other cars, and management never responded to my emails about it.

Lack of Communication: Speaking of communication—unless your email is about paying rent, don’t expect a reply. Even after-hours emergency calls were dismissed because they “didn’t consider it an emergency.”

Overall, living here was a frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you're okay with surprise charges, ignored concerns, and poor management responsiveness.

0 stars for the management. They seem to be in place to take more money from the resident. Towed my car due to their new Parkade app which they sent emails during Christmas, was out for 7 days when they towed my car from a spot they “sold” after Jan 2 when until Jan 1 all spots were valid for a flat fee of $40 and a permit. I don’t understand how paying a rent of 4200$ and still getting treated like this is fair. Leaving on the first chance. This isn’t how you treat your residents.

Terrible experience with management. My car was towed due to their new Parkade app, which was poorly communicated over the holidays. There were no instructions on how to sign up, no guidance on reserving a space, and I later discovered I wasn’t even registered as a resident in their system, making it impossible to reserve a spot. To make matters worse, there was no call or text warning me that my car was at risk of being towed. They placed a sticker on my car at 5:30 PM on Friday, stating it would be towed by 2:00 PM on Saturday, but it was towed by 6:10 PM that same evening. Adding insult to injury, my vehicle was damaged in the process. This lack of communication and care is completely unacceptable.

I wish I can give this place 0 star but I can’t. Honestly the location wise, there is nothing nearby so it feels like isolation.
Packages come on box office so you have to carry it all the way to your place which is such a hassle.
But the WORST is the new parking system where your car will get towed for no reason. After paying such a high amount for rent you would expect to have free parking but nooooooo, you live in constant fear of getting your car towed.
