This place is lackluster and unhygienic.

I wasn’t impressed with Archive. It’s counter-order, and the venue does not encourage singles to sit at the bar so single people will take up large booths while camping out on their laptops.

I got a breakfast hash, and it had no sauce, so it was essentially just a bowl of potatoes since I couldn’t have the cheese. When we asked for waters and condiments, the server had to come back three times because she kept forgetting things. The final time I had to pick a long hair out of my ketchup.

What a beautiful place to spend a rainy morning. Best mocha i have had in quite some time. The scone I ordered (blueberry-lemon) wasn't quite my thing, but still tasted good and looked gorgeous to boot. Looking to make this my usual coffee spot for days in Downtown salem.

I wandered into Archive while in town for work. They might’ve made one of the best balanced and tasting vanilla bourbon lattes I’ve ever had. The flavor was so well balanced and delicious that one could easily drink a growler of this before the caffeine overwhelms them.

The staff was great and the environment is an appreciable level of classy with historic vibes.

My only unmet desire is a better selection of pastries. They only appeared to have butterscotch chip scones and rice crispy treats available.

This place was a lovely surprise and I absolutely recommend coming here for your coffee needs.

Best coffee in Salem. Really beautiful space, with expertly roasted coffee and good customer service. Was in Salem for 2 days recently, and went 4 times. Even took home a bag of the Nicaragua to brew at home.

Unique cocktails. Staff are super friendly. They had some in-house creations that would blow your mind. We went back in the same night because we had to try more.

Went here based on the reviews. Sadly very disappointed. My husband’s tacos arrived 5 minutes before my meal, he had finished by the time mine arrived. Very little in the bowl except quinoa. This was a very expensive brunch.

The coffee here is delicious! Unfortunately, the guy behind the counter was quite rude. Thankfully, there was another girl working—she was really kind and basically saved the whole situation with my order. I think the management should remind all staff how important respectful communication with customers is.

Amazing food, delicious and CREATIVE coffee drinks, warm, interesting, and fun environment! The decor had me thinking of a library from The Lord of the Rings!
Our food; Cauliflower Tacos, Herb Fries, and Mango Chia Pudding!! We were not disappointed, in fact, we found ourselves conniving about ways to cajole our precious server into handing over recipes!!!
We also had two of the best coffee drinks we've ever had!
Our server was lovely! She spent time with us and got genuinely excited when she saw how much we were LOVING our food and coffees!
Archive is a great place with great food, coffee, and more! It's a place with interesting, fun, and friendly staff who truly want the very best experience for their customers!
We're from the Portland area but we're already planning our next trip to Salem just to try more of the unique and delectable offerings from our new favorite coffee bar, Archive!
