We purchased ground beef, pork ribs, Italian sausage, bratwurst and the prime rib steak along with a seasoning blend recommended for the pork ribs or chicken.

At my 10 yr old request, I air fried the pork ribs with the seasoning on low for about an hour 🤯

Everyone loved every bite. The ribs had much more meat between the bones and much less fat than grocery store buys in the past.

The meal honestly uplifted my husband, who was having an overwhelming day. Not being paid for this review, the experience was just that good.

Excited to make smash burgers with the butchers recommended 80/20 ground beef 🤤 thinking of making everything today just so we can try it all. 🤔

Anyway, we recommend you make a visit, I don’t believe you will be disappointed at all.

God Bless

The place is just ok. Prices are high, the knife sharpening is a joke, you get your knife back as dull as when you took it in. Staffs are friendly, the meat is above average

Really terrible, rude people who work here. I would recommend finding another local butcher shop with professional and kind people worth giving your money to. Our Oklahoma family who has lived in Norman for decades do not think their non-local meat is worth the price either.

I ordered an expensive prime rib roast a few weeks early to cook for family when we fly in for the holidays and planned to pick up the day we land in OKC. After the Southwest Airlines catastrophe, we get our flights last minute cancelled, scramble to rebook, and can only find a flight literally a week later. With all the stress and hectic rebooking, we forgot about the prime rib pick up until they call the day of pick-up. I told them I’m so sorry, but we had to rebook our flight and aren’t there to pick up. The really horrible guy on the phone sarcastically says “AWESOME” and after a short pause where I’m still trying to process if this was really an adult man responding to me on the phone, he hangs up. I would have been happy to call a family member to pick up and freeze so we could cook it after we arrive, but this man child literally hung up on us. Just picked up a beautiful prime rib from another butcher shop after arriving here. We told our Norman family about our experience here and they advised us that their meat was overpriced, not that great, and mostly from Nebraska anyway, so definitely not worth dealing with their nasty attitudes.

Feel like I was taken advantage of ordered 3 lb of fillet mignon when picked up order it was over 31/2 pounds a nice increase in size of order and dollar amount a few ounces understandable but over 1/2 pound a little much

I'm a fan of Artisan's Pride and a repeat customer. I visit almost weekly and usually pick up a couple of filets and rotate between a brisket point and a pork shoulder to throw on the smoker that weekend. I usually find something else of interest while looking around and pick that up as well. Haven't been disappointed yet in anything that I've bought.

I recently moved to this area and decided to pick up a ribeye for $28. The meat looked good and smelled fine. When we cooked it the taste was very off. It tasted very very gamey - to the point we only took maybe 3 or 4 bites. With my family being in the cattle business and with the experience of other cattle farmers - I am afraid this meat came from a farm where their cattle wasn’t treated properly. I hope that’s not the case but my experience overall.

I will stick to going to Wheelers.

I’m all about supporting local businesses and love the idea of a local butcher in Norman- but I have to speak up about my experience.

The meat was all right- but the meat I ended up buying was something I could’ve bought anywhere. I went in the store expecting to find a butcher that could educate me on the different cuts and quality of meat- but what I walked into was a butcher who had terrible customer service and only excuses for not having a variety of cuts- other than ones I can buy at any large chain store- or grocery butcher. On top of that, he didn’t have anything good to say about the natural foods industry and tried to convince me that grass fed and organic beef was a marketing fad and has no scientific backing for being healthier which is simply not true.

I was also disappointed that the meat came from Nebraska when there are many local cattle farms in Oklahoma. The only reason I bought anything is because I didn’t want to drive across town. Sadly, I will not be going back.

Got two great ribeye cuts and they look awesome.
Although two for $70 is pricy. Hope these are grass fed beef for that price..
Not sure why people are complaining about bad service.
