absolutely gorgeous store! stopped by on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. love the way they've decorated the place. large selection of cds, vinyls, and i believe tapes as well. a lot of items are locked up while others are accessible for browsing so you may have to online search some titles. the man behind the counter was friendly though im awkward myself so not much to discuss, but it doesn't seem difficult getting a case opened when ready to purchase. i'm not sure about other reviewers but it was very obvious to me what was and what wasn't for sale. it's a music based store - not an antique or plant store. i absolutely loved the clutter and would be devastated to see it go!

This place looks awesome but you step in the door to to a very rude and and unwelcome space. We didn't feel comfortable looking around. Hopefully I can save someone the time it takes to park.

Cool looking store but waste of time and energy because the store owner is rude and condescending. We were treated badly and I will not be wasting my money here.

When I first called this shop-summer 2024- Tim sounded incredibly confident that he could overhaul my professional solid silver open holed Gemeinhardt Flute (with B footjoint). It played perfectly but needed new pads and had never had an overall-I bought it new in 1998. He did polish it up, replace the pads with professional ones and got the dings and dents out for 500$. When I went to pick it up nothing below the middle notes would even play. He tightened a few things here and there while I waited (and kept handing it back for me to try because he cannot play it). I still paid him, and took it home hoping the pads would seat better with time. I had to bring it back to him twice more (after paying another tech $100 out of Vernonia to say the pads needed to be redone) and he did keep it and try to make it work. I understand he is able to repair brass instruments, but he does not play the flute at all. He was super nice in offering to keep trying, but I decided to take my flute to yet a third technician. The specialist in Portland explained that none of the pads were seated correctly, deemed it unplayable and it had to be redone completely for another $500. I did go back and talk to Tim, and he did offer a store credit. He has a large sign saying that there are no refunds for any repairs. His shop by the way smells like Nag Champa incense which I love! I gave an extra star as he is compassionate with his animal rescue—and his profits go to that—wanted to end on a good “note”🎶!

It’s a very interesting music store you must visit when you are in Astoria.
They belong to a non profit so all the profit will go towards a charitable cause (animal shelter I believe)

That guy is just the rudest person yesterday me and my friends were roaming around astoria and I wanted to buy a cd so all three of us were in I asked him if he had any hip hop he said it was below me and he kept saying it's below you and I was looking at something else and I said I know and my friend sniffed a little and puts on a mask and I looked and he said that's 16.99 and I couldn't hear him because of the mask and I said 16.99 and he say yes like I was deaf or stupid or something never going to that place again my suggestion go to gearhart for cds or vinyls or cassettes.

This store is beautiful and it has an impressive collection of musical instruments, records and tapes. I love its quirkiness and I also noticed the owner seems to be an animal lover. I really have no complaints about this hidden gem except for the fact that the man who works in the store is very off putting. I’m not sure if he is the owner or not. Throughout the entire time I was in there he completely ignored me. He didn’t say one word to me not even as I said goodbye and thank you on my way out. I felt very unwelcome in his presence. Almost like he was annoyed I was even in the store! It’s unfortunate because I really enjoyed the store itself.
