From the moment I walked into Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, I was greeted warmly, making me feel immediately welcome. Unsure of what to order, I only knew I wanted something hot to warm me up on a chilly day. The two friendly baristas went out of their way to help me decide, patiently explaining the menu and offering recommendations. I ended up choosing the ube latte, which turned out to be an excellent choice. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—a true treat for the senses. The cozy, inviting atmosphere made the experience even better. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a unique spot to enjoy a great drink, I highly recommend this charming café. I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely love the coffee! We come here at least once a week. Great service and we love that the cubes are made of coffee as well. Today we got to go home with some goodies. So had to get a pic of our pup in it! 😊

The coffee and service were good.I actually stopped to go to the restroom thinking it was a gas station / convenience store only, and was surprised to find Bass Coffee of Hawaii.

I’m a Starbucks guy and was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the coffee. Although it’s out of the way for me, I plan to be back.

Also, there’s a taco bus restaurant right beside it if that’s your thing.

Great coffee! Service was very good...coffee is exceptional but be prepared to spend more...its Kona after all..... shop has whole bean ( they will grind it) and kcups for home as well as cups and other souvenirs. I gave the atmosphere 4 because it's located in a gas station and split the space with a mini mart and taco place. They also have a nice outdoor seating area but again...gas station.

Espresso decaf: it tasted ok. Thankfully it was not bitter but just kind of a flat taste. It was much better than most chain coffee shops and very drinkable. Negative points for being served in about a 6oz paper cup as it was lukewarm warm by the time I received it at the counter. If someone orders a DECAF espresso then they really like coffee. Decaf is not for the caffeine but rather for the flavor.
Americano decaf: water hid the sins of the above and was a very pleasant coffee experience.
Atmosphere was like a nice gas station vibe.

(Lutz, FL location) If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter went in and got a Orange & Mango smoothie. It was the only thing she had consumed up to that point in the day. She got a TERRIBLE case of food poisoning from it. I called the gas station/coffee house and spoke to the gas station manager (the location is in a gas station), she was argumentative, rude and nasty. She claimed they clean the place but when I asked if they keep the cold items refrigerated she couldnt give me a straight answer and she also said they dont use product often and some products sit for some time. DONT go here, go to a reputable place with standards.

After your response. My daughter can drink dairy, so if the items are shelf stable I will chalk it up to cross contamination/uncleanliness. You can not speak to cleanliness when you are not there. Stores much bigger than yours have failed Health Dept visits, so for you to say its clean ALL THE TIME, is a foolish statement, no one is infallible. Your manager answered the phone like a brute, was disrespectful and spoke down to me. If SHE is your in store representation than I can only imagine what else goes on there when the spotlight is not on her. Your manager should know if they are shelf stable, she should know how often you go through items; she knew none of those things. Instead of her being rude (from the very beginning of the conversation) she should have taken the route you did. Maybe she shouldnt be the manager, because I dont think this is the face of a company you need or want.

We love Bad Ass Coffee and have visited multiple locations across the U.S. We ere so excited to see this location was near our bnb but I’m sorry to say that this was the worst location we have visited. It’s in the middle of this crazy gas station / taco restaurant location, I ordered the 100% Kona (a $9 coffee) and either the beans were old or the “barista” never used a press before, because it was nowhere near the level that Bad Ass usually puts out. My wife took one sip of her Hazelnut Hula and had to toss it. When I asked the barista about the Kona I was told “that’s how they taught us to make it, maybe the beans were old” again a $9 coffee: hopefully they fix the issues because bad ass coffee is awesome!!

When it is cold in Florida,
What do you do? You go to Bad Ass Coffee!. I have never been to this location and customer service was amazing! I felt welcomed and they suggestively sold me a pastry that was the perfect pairing. If you are in the area, go here! You won't be disappointed
