Been shopping here for a long time and the staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. I know the owner takes the time to make sure they get the best quality products and everything is SUSTAINABLY sourced. Cute shop, but they sell taxidermied bats and other dead animals. I don’t know about the others, but the bats are unsustainably harvested, and apparently the shop owners have been made aware of this multiple times but continue to sell them. The woman at the register admitted that she should look into whether she was hurting wildlife populations, but that she hadn’t.

I came up to Tallahassee for a robotics competition and was told the area we were staying in was not that great. THEY WERE SO WRONG! The railroad square was fascinating. All the buildings were painted by local artists and walked up to The Bees Knees shop my first night. They were closed, but the first place I went the next morning was the Bees Knees.
What an incredible and fascinating little shop. All the odd trinkets one could ask for! From crystals, to Zuni fetish’s, to beautiful bugs from South America to Butterflies.
Lynn the owner is so creative with her craft in creating the most amazing displays of her bugs and Bats.
I can’t wait to visit Tallahassee again!

The owner is the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. I walked in once for the first time and she and I spoke as if we had known eachother forever. I couldn’t buy anything at the time but I came back and she helped me pick out this gorgeous moonstone ring that was HUGE and affordable for its size. Since then I haven’t cared for any other jewelry shops besides hers.
