Just went on the Guided Day Trip on the Deschutes River with my two brothers, our guide was Casey and he was fantastic. We only had to prepare with a one day fishing license and try on the wading gear beforehand. Everything else was taken care of for us, which was perfect as we were complete beginners. The float down the river was beautiful and relaxing. The guide was great, we caught fish at each stop, and the pick up/drop off was super easy. 10/10 would recommend if interested in fly fishing on the Deschutes River.

Still my favorite shop. I travel for work and last time I went in, I was there to fill up my fly boxes for a work trip out to eastern Oregon. I think Mike was who helped me. He was very knowledgeable on techniques that I’ve failed at and was even nice enough to throw in a few new flies to try out. He was also extremely helpful in picking a new sage rod as I was in dire need of a quality 5wt. I’ve been to a lot of the fly shops all around Oregon and Idaho and Bend fly shop is by far the most knowledgeable and have the best selection of gear for a good price.

My husband and I were visiting Bend for our honeymoon. He’s a passionate fisherman with a little fly fishing experience and I’m a newbie all around. We’re so glad we went with Bend Fly Shop for our guided trip. We had the best time with Casey as our guide. He’s so knowledgeable about everything fly fishing and it was fun hearing all about it. We caught several redband trout and mountain whitefish! We can’t wait to come back and adventure some more!

I’ve just started getting into fly fishing and so while staying in Bend I scheduled a guided trip through the shop. Griff was my guide for the day up the Deschutes and I can’t express how wonderful the experience was. Besides being in such a beautiful environment, Griff was full of knowledge and extremely helpful with tips on my cast/form. By the end of the trip I felt so much more confident for my next fly adventure. Highly recommend!

Had a great day out on the Crooked River with Griff yesterday. Griff made sure we all caught fish but what’s more is he quickly clued into our desire to learn proper technique more so than catching as many fish as possible.

All three of us are brand new to fly fishing and learned the basics of the sport from setting up
