Love the variety of spices and sauces for cooking. Small store, narrow isles but go to for some harder to find items. Especially looking forward to using garlic paste, or garlic ginger paste, alongside some of the chutneys they have available. Definitely a place to go if you want to prep some really flavorful food. They also have a selection of some fresh produce if you need it!

New Bombay Store, at 1385 W. Blaine St. in Riverside, was inspected April 21 in response to a complaint that it looked dirty, and received a failing grade of 81/B.

Among the 14 violations, there was “excessive” fly and gnat activity in a food-prep area and around trash, the inspector saw four dead cockroaches, there were rodent droppings under a freezer, a display cooler was impounded for not keeping cold, there was a box of spoiled produce and a moldy bag of food in the walk-in cooler, and there were numerous issues relating to the facility needing cleaning, decluttering and maintenance.

The person in charge said pest control had been coming every two weeks, and the inspector said a thorough search turned up no signs of an active roach or rodent infestation.

The store also failed an inspection last August (and was partially closed because of a cockroach infestation) so it now faces an administrative hearing.

Very disorganized stores. No prices mentioned. Seems like spices are very old and expired. Check dates before buying

Its a small Indian grocery place that also sells snacks and fish and goat meat. They sell the best goat meat in this area. The elderly Sardarji who runs this place with his son are extremely friendly. They also give you the best prices among all the Indian grocery stores in the neighbourhood

It’s small and cramped but you can find everything you’ll need. The prices are more affordable compared to other Indian stores around.
