Be careful of the magazine subscriptions! I went in with my daughter to get her some books and I was in a hurry. A woman at the cash register tried to convince me to take the free magazine deal. I told her that I wasn't interested because I like to read through things before I sign up for them. She gave me an attitude about it and basically wouldn't take no for an answer. I was in a hurry because we had to be somewhere and I didn't have time to deal with the back and forth. I really didn't appreciate her basically making me feel uncomfortable until I said "yes" to the magazines. And of course, as I expected, I've been getting charged like $20 a month for magazines for the past 3 months.

Nothing like finding a nice one fashion book store. They also have a veeery nice novelty collection of many franchises. Love the LOTR ones.

Love this store, the sales are great if you shop smart. The only thing I dislike is the constant nagging to get free magazines that aren't free. Technically, you have to pay for all the subscriptions. I constantly say no and they push and push.

I’m like a kid in a candy store!! Love books especially ones that are on sale that I am in to..you got some nice an kind people in there def appreciated that not every place you go these days has no idea what that is an could careless how other people feel an what they need help with .. they only there to work not entertain people.. its so sad , but it was very nice to see people helping others for once …you get back what you give out 🥰

Never really right reviews, but I went in tonight and couldn’t find any of the books on my TBR. I asked Ted at the front if he could look up some, and we went through half a dozen before we found one in stock. I appreciate people like him. Very kind and patient.

I've gone to this Books A Million plenty of times to pick up gifts for loved ones. They have a good selection of merchandise to choose from, including those very expensive and sought after LoungeFly backpacks. They have an entire wall of them, plus more in the window of the store. They have an abundance of Sanrio and Anime items. Every item I've bought from this store has been high quality. Though I still have some complaints.. About the customer service, I don't know the name of the man who has rang me up the past couple times I've purchased something from this store but he seems to be the one in charge. Or maybe he just acts that way. My experience with this man is this: Some days he rings you up and he's kind to you, and provides excellent customer service. Other times he is an asshole and you can just tell that he hates you for just existing in this store and for making him do his job. Something awful must have happened in this man's life to make him act this way at his job. Either that, or this job is just miserable for him. There have been several occasions where I have sensed hostility from this man. Though as someone who visits this store often, I can tell that his position must be difficult. The store is often very busy, and I have gone during the seasonal times of the year and it's even worse. This man seems to run everything in the store and I can tell that he works hard. He just needs to stop projecting his anger and hostility out on the customers. I am just a regular person shopping for Christmas presents for my loved ones. I'm not the source of your anger and frustration, sir. Anyway if I were his employer and I found out that he was showing passive aggression to the customers that he is helping at the checkout I would tell him to fix his attitude and give him a second chance. Because he really is a good worker. Even though every time it's been time for him to get up off his ass and help ME, he doesn't seem to want to in the slightest. I don't know what I've done wrong here.
