Always amazing service, food and friendly. Also, I've found i get way better gas milage from them about 40 to 50 miles more per tank. You have to try the Big Buckin' Brisket sandwich XXL chopped beef. It is so delicious.

I love these places. After visiting their location in Springfield, Mo in June, we had to stop at this location on our way to house hunt in Alabama. Yes, they're usually crowded and nobody seems to be paying attention to where they're walking. But, man are they fun. Pick anything that they make fresh here, and you'll love it. I've noticed a few people saying that their food is pricey. Compare what you get here, with a McDonald's, and you'll see how wrong you really are. Both with quality and quantity. The thing I like the most, though, is that they have non-ethanol blends of fuel. Just look for the blue signs sticking out showing 87, or 93, octane. Around here it's kind of difficult to find gas without ethanol. We don't run that junk in our cars, and it's always great to know that we can rely on Buc-ee's to fuel up. We're definitely customers for life!

Want to know how to spend way more than you planned on? Take a visit to Buc-ee's! Bucees is everything you've ever heard it to be and then some. Loud, chaotic, and people everywhere but it sure is a great place to find everything you could possibly need on a road trip. Gas, tons of food, spotless restrooms, and back on the road! ?

I am a local. I buy gas here because it has the lowest prices in my area.
If you are traveling Interstate 65 in Alabama between Nashville and Birmingham then be sure to stop.
They have a great selection of food items , made fresh daily. It's a great place to stop and stretch your legs.
All in all it is just a fun place. The negative thing I will say is there are no tables available to sit and enjoy the food. Plan on tailgating it.
I should add that is is the midway between Birmingham and Nashville

We recently visited the Buc-ee's in Athens, Alabama, during the busy 4th of July long weekend, arriving just before noon. Despite the lunch crowd, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The parking lot was bustling with travelers from various states, adding to the festive atmosphere. My wife opted for the chopped brisket sandwich – a tried and true favorite that never disappoints. If you haven't had one, you're truly missing out. I decided on lighter fare and tried the Cobb Salad with avocado ranch dressing. You might think a convenience store salad would be subpar, but this was fresh, delicious, and generously dressed. I also enjoyed a freshly made cantaloupe, pineapple, and grape fruit cup, thanks to a friendly staff member who went out of her way to provide it.

Before leaving, I fueled up and treated my car to the Buc-ee's carwash – an experience in itself with a fun surprise halfway through. My car never looked better!

We stayed overnight in Athens and enjoyed Buc-ee's for dinner and breakfast the next day. Breakfast included a brisket taco, Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage biscuit, strawberry cream cheese kolache, and delicious coffee. Big shout-outs to David, who showed me how to turn my Buc-ee's onesie into a pillow, and Justin at the carwash for his excellent service.

The staff at Buc-ee's, especially David and the team at the Texas Round-Up, truly make the experience unforgettable. And let's not forget the best bathrooms and spotless floors throughout the store!

Thank you, Buc-ee's in Athens, Alabama, for an outstanding visit. We can't wait to return!

This magnificent store, restaurant, and gas station holds a dear place in my heart now as it saved my fiance and i's engagement vacation!

Story time.
My fiance and I (from Wisconsin) had a trip to Louisiana planned. We stopped here along the way to get gas and because we had seen a lot online about buc-ee's and where excited to have a fun stop to break up our trip that wouldn't take us to far off course. We got gas which there was no line as there are more pumps at this one gas station than there are in some towns in Wisconsin. After getting gas we stopped inside to shop and had a great time. Buc-ee's merch is amazing and well priced along with the food. We originally didn't get much but we tried some buc-ee's brand candy and got some little things like keychains as souvenirs for friends back home as well. At checkout the cashier was very friendly and we mentioned that it was our first time atbyc-ee's he was very friendly and talked to us about our upcoming trip while scanning our items and was very kind and fun to talk to while still managing to check us out quickly and get to other customers as well.

Afterwards we got back to driving and finished the trip. We made it to our hotel in Louisiana where sadly we were not let in. We had to rush around Louisiana looking for another hotel for the night before heading home and thankfully we found one. Next morning we woke up and began our trip home which was very disappointing as this trip was to celebrate our engagement and we were sad to see it fall apart. We decided we would stop at buc-ee's on the way home again as it was nice and would be a good stop along the trip again. When we got there we tried some more of the food items and used the bathrooms. The bathrooms here are the cleanest we saw on our entire trip and we stopped nearly every 3 hours of our 16 hour drive (I was sick ?)

And the food! My fiance and I tried the chocolate bars which are incredibly cheap and are as good as very high end chocolate. The fudge is amazing, they have their own soda which is better than most sodas I've had and their cold sandwiches are phenomenal. I am from Wisconsin and am a cheese addict. I have rarely ever found a cheese that truly surprises me and stands out above the rest and it is always Irish, or Wisconsin cheeses. The cheese on our sandwiches transcends cheese. It was absolutely amazing and all the other ingredients were impressively fresh with the bread and meat also standing out compared to most sandwhich shops we have been to.

My fiance where joking about how our engagement trio basically turned into us just going to a very big gas station and we couldn't be happier thanks to buc-ee's. At the time of writing this we are staying at a hotel in Huntsville and fully intend to go back to buc-ee's on our way home as it has been the highlight of our trip

Negatives / cautions
This location was very busy when we arrived the first time. It was fairly loud in the lobby which as we have sensory issues was a bit jarring at first but manageable.
Expect to have a small line exiting the parking lot as well. If you have some extra time on your trip this is an amazing stop but in a time crunch it may be slower than desired. It would be nice to see some seating areas either inside for people with mobility issues who may need a break from standing, or areas to sit down and eat either inside or picnic tables outside to sit down and enjoy some fresh air before hitting the road again.

These are nitpicky but I wanted to share some feedback for improvement as well

Maybe it is just me and I don't get the Buc-ee's hype, but it just seems like a tourist trap to me. It was insanely busy when we stopped at 1030am on a Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I expected it to be busy...but this was a whole other level! We walked around for maybe 10 minutes made our few small purchases and got out of there as quickly as possible (which took a good while). There is one main exit that everyone seems to know about and there appears to be another exit on the other side of the building that we noticed a few cars coming from. The chaos of the gas pumps is crazy as well. So many people get their gas and stay parked at the pump and go in. Even though there are 120 gas pumps it sure makes it difficult to find a pump when it is pure chaos. We can say we have been to a Buc-ee's and keep going next time.
