I like going to Burton's Grocery in Southside. It is always clean and the staff is always friendly.
They don't have the selection of many of the chain stores, but they are a small town store with a lot less traffic, so it stands to reason. The prices are also a bit higher, but you pay for convenience.

There was a time this store was better but seems to be getting back there. Some prices are too high but probably worth not having to drive to the other side of town. The store is normally kept neat and clean inside and out. Good hometown feel.

It's convenient for me. It's clean. Never a big crowd, that's nice.
Pay attention to dates on products, as they may be out of date. Examine frozen items and check for signs of freezer burn.. I stop in maybe 2 - 4 times per month for some produce or something that I may need that they carry.
I was a little disturbed last time I went there. There was an older lady that was getting onto a young lady (newer employee) in front of customers which I thought was out of line.

Very clean and friendly. Went around 7 pm. Good lighting inside but parking lot was a little darker than I'd like. Not a ton of products but everything I needed. Even beautiful greeting cards for only $1.

Burton's Grocery Store is a small town grocery store with a good selection of the ordinary and with most items you will typically need for a fast meal or a simple meal.
They do have a butcher that can cut special items for you and is very friendly and informed.
The store is always neat and clean and everything is where it was the last time you came in. They don't move stuff around and make shopping a job!
Cashiers are pleasant and don't mind a bit of conversation in the check out line.
If you miss the old time Grocery stores then I highly recommend it!?

Very limited selection and no on the floor service. No deli and very sad in that it appears to be getting ready to liquidate. Would like it to come back to life?

Would be zero stars. Everything was old in the store. I purchased Philly sliced steak, and it's green and smells even though it's frozen. I couldn't find a date on the package. Also some go gurt my kids got was old as well. Pitiful
