Apparently we no longer believe in having cashiers and after a certain time only the self checkout is open. Self checkout definitely serves its purpose but I want to be able to have the option. It was also incredibly hard to find a worker that wasn’t busy and I felt awful pulling someone away from their task.

DONT BUY CAKES FROM HERE I got a birthday cake with cupcakes and it was stale I don’t know how old it was and the cupcakes had a hair! This isn’t the first time the cake was stale I thought maybe it would be different a second time NOPE

I’ve been coming to Cardenas Hesperia for 6 years cause it’s the closest market to me, but every time I shop here I have to check my receipt because they always over charge me on more then two items, people on the line get mad at me, because the cashier has to be calling to have a price check, so now I drive 10 miles more and I go to Vallarta

The older señoras are always bitter and super rude if you go in their dressed nicely , they look you up and down so rudely and give you ZERO information about where anythings at

If I was able to put 0 I would. The meat department is never fresh. I got costillas de puerco and they’re green and smell so bad. I was okay with some meat products from there but definitely not buying any meat products from there again.

Love their fresh cilantro. My only complaint is their extremely sensitive self checkout. Bringing my own bags for bagging groceries seems to trigger the "unexpected item in bagging area" and locks out until an employee comes to unlock it. It does this even when pressing the bring my own bag button. Other stores checkouts don't do this so if they don't trust you to check your items yourself why not open a register.
