Went to have breakfast at the tea house and walk around took pictures beautiful place very nice setting not too crowded but the tea house was adorable with the Victorian look prices reasonable. Also went to a thrift store great place the attendant was very nice and very pleasant experience all together. Next time I want to stop at the holistic house too

Lovely place! Crowdy, quite difficult to park but incredible original square... I would like to find some more restaurants/tents to enjoy, let's say coffee/tea/delicatessen... A real place to keep and support their development

My wife and I were in Miami with a couple of days to tour before our cruise and visited the tourist friendly locales like Bayside marketplace and little Havana but with a day to go I needed to find an activity that doesn't include a boat ride, sports or alligators. So I randomly found a place called Cauley Square Historic Village, south of Miami that sounded like a great place for 60 somethings to walk around in a garden setting, free, and with local shops, artisans and food. This location is off of Dixie highway and a little off the beaten path but once we visited the soap/fragrance shop we knew that we could spend a couple of hours here.
The park-like setting was quiet and absolutely beautiful with native flowers, grove trees and sculpted fountains. It is billed as a wedding and banquet location but just strolling through the well manicured walkways made us feel like newlyweds. The shops (that were open on Fridays) were quirky and creative, as were the shopkeepers. I would highly recommend this gorgeous and quaint local artisan village if you're looking for a quiet walk through a beautiful floral setting and you aren't in a hurry to leave.
