I brought a friend in to Controversial Coffee and after listening to them rave about the coffee and breakfast, I realized I haven't reviewed this spot! I love going in to order a "surprise me" drink, because they are always so delicious. The sandwich options are awesome and I love that my favorite, artichokes, are an option. There are so many games to play while you sip your drinks and so many amazing things to check out, read and admire on the walls. Jesus to Elton John to Fabio (the employee of the month) all are there enjoying the ambiance along with you. Don't miss out on the amazing food, drink and experience that Controversial Coffee has to offer.

Oh! And they've got a clothing closet and mutual aid board. Very community centered, very kind, very thoughtful.

Coffee was okay…not very flavorful. Atmosphere was the best part! They had a community corner for free items as needed. Very eclectic and welcoming. All people are welcome. Safe place. Love it!

This hidden gem is one of the coolest, quirkiest, and most joyful spots you could stumble across in all of Seaside. The space is insanely cool, full of nostalgia and personality, and the owners are absolutely wonderful. The second breakfast sandwich is especially magnificent and the coffee flavor options are extensive. They also throw events for the community! We love it here. Easily our new favorite coastal spot ever!

I went there yesterday and the environment was so judgement free and welcoming. The owner was very sweet and she made a very good drink (redbull with strawberry, peach,passion fruit, cream and whip) and they also have very cute random things for sale. I bought a very cute moth patch as well. I highly recommend this place.

They have high quality coffee and baristas that know what they are doing. I love the ambiance of the cafe. I visited multiple times on my trip. The menu was very appealing and fun. The art was all very interesting and beautiful. I bought a few treasures from the little gift shop area. This is definitely somewhere I will return to every beach trip.
