This was my first time fly fishing and my first visit to Oregon. Our 4 day trip far exceeded all my expectations! Our guides made it their mission to make sure our group had an amazing trip. Everything from teaching us to handle the fly rods, finding the right spots to fish, to cooking great food and making camp an outdoor oasis. DCO was a top notch host! Thank you so much! Thanks to Deep Canyon guides Brett and Dalton for a fabulous float from Warm Springs to Trout Creek. Everyone in our party caught beautiful native redsides, along with a few big whitefish. We were fishing dry droppers most of the time - big salmon fly or golden stone patterns with perdigons or PMD nymph droppers. I was in Brett's boat and we had a great time geeking out on all things fly fishing. He gave me some solid coaching to improve my line mending and drag-and-drop techniques. I also appreciated Brett's sensitivity to hiking anglers, giving them plenty of space. Deep Canyon arranged tribal permits so we could fish the Warm Springs Reservation side of the river. Really professional - highly recommended! p.s. The Deschutes is also fabulous for birds and other wildlife -- we saw heron, ducks, geese, wild horses, and many songbirds.

We booked a half day fly fishing experience with Deep Canyon Outfitters. We went out with Jared and had a great time. My son and I did not have any fly fishing experience, Jared did a great job of guiding us and helping us with the basics of fly fishing. I would highly recommend both Deep Canyon Outfitters and Jared, we had a great day.

We had an awesome first time fly fishing experience with Deep Canyon Outfitters! We did a half day walk in tour and it was worth every penny. Our guide, Isaac, knew all the great hotspots along the river and shared his vast knowledge of fly fishing throughout the day. We caught lots of fish!! I would highly recommend this to any group looking for a guided tour - fit for all ages!

This group is first class! We are a father (me), son and granddad who went on a Labor Trip trip down the Deschutes River and our adventure was phenomenal from start to finish. Our guides, Brendan and Landon, were extremely helpful and professional and went far beyond our expectations. The scenery is incredible and for a city-dweller such as myself the experience of being completely immersed in nature and catching rainbow trout on such a beautiful river was transcendent. I highly recommend them for beginners or for experienced fly fishers. Oh, I wanted to give special mention to the young man who went ahead to prepare our campsite and meals was phenomenal as well. I don't remember his name but he did a fantastic job and contributed significantly to our experience! Thanks DCO!

My diving partner and I booked a guided drift down the lower Descutes River for redside trout. I let Deep Canyon know we were experienced divers but inexperienced with a fly rod. The guide took the time to introduce us to the roll cast and drift method we used while wet wading at stops along the way. He put us on the fish consistently, coaching and encouraging us all day. Lunch consisted of BBQ burgers and and soft drinks cooked on a portable BBQ. The river bottom is rocky and slippery and he saved me from going swimming more than once! We enjoyed the fishing, adventure, coaching and good natured conversation immensely and if we get back to the Deschutes we will be certain to use Deep Canyon again.

My Dad and I had the opportunity to go out for a day on the Crooked River with Landon. It was an amazing experience, the Crooked is a beautiful destination and a very fun river to fish for beautiful native trout!! Landon is an amazing guide with a passion for the outdoors and fly-fishing. Dad and I have been fly fishing for decades and still learned some new techniques. We will definitely use Deep Canyon again and will specially request Landon.

My son and I did a 3 day Lower Deschutes fishing trip with Deep Canyon Outfitters this summer. This was our third year for the trip. The experience is wonderful, from our excellent guide Jared, to the camping experience, where one is treated like a king. The food is great! Highly recommended for fly fisherpersons.
