I’ve seen multiple people claim other donuts shops are the best in town and I can say with pure honesty DOUGH HOOK IS THE BEST DONUTS IN TOWN!!!

They are fluffy, FULL of FLAVOR, worth every penny!!
Did I mention the amazing flavor creations!

But you better hurry they sell out fast! (As they should)
I have been here numerous times and have so many photos these are just a few of there decadent donuts!!!

Super disappointed
Spent nearly $30 to pick up 6 donuts that were mostly incorrect and when I went back the response was “sometimes DoorDash has the wrong pictures”!!!
Pretty much an “oh well” I am a paying customer… I visit my daughter only a couple times a month as I am busy, she lives in Salem and I work and live in Portland… I live to see her smile… To see the disappointment on her face before I had to rush to Portland was disheartening
If there is a problem with DoorDash posting the two can hash it out… I mean for that damn price do the customer right, not leave them fuming over some crappy overpriced regular donuts!!!!

Dough Hook donuts are all amazing! Every flavor I've tried is the best example of that type I've ever encountered. Their dough is some how light and fluffy and dense all at the same time, and their vanilla custard filling is divine. And their personnel are very courteous! I have always been treated very well, whether in person, on the phone, or ordering online. Order your donuts early in the day to make sure they're still in stock, because everyone loves them!

I am an extreme donut snob and until I found this place, I was certain the entire state of Oregon did NOT know how to make a decent donut. Then I found, by random chance, this tiny little shop.

The donuts here are the best I've ever had, and have pushed the bar on what I though was possible in several cases.

I can personally vouch for the creme brouille and the apple fritter as EXCEPTIONAL donuts. I've only tried a handful so far, but the texture is perfect, the flavor and moisture of the inside and outside is perfect. The custard used in the creme broulle(and no, I can't spell it) is better than what I've had at Ruth's Chris streak house. When the helpers make the torched sugar they sometimes get it too dark, but when the main cook there does it, it's flawless.

In short, I won't buy donuts anywhere else. If you are not a donut snob, you can't possible appreciate how good they are. But if you are one of my peeps and relate to my love of donuts--you just found heaven on earth.

These are by far the best donuts I have had. Sometimes people can overdo a donut and get too fancy. But this is not that. Every donut we have tried here has perfectly balanced flavors. These are fluffy and soft and huge. I find that when people start to make donuts too big they tend to get tough. But this is not the case here. If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for? You won't go anywhere else!

I visited this donut shop by word-of-mouth. I wanted the weekend special strawberry doughnut, but unfortunately I was late for that. They were in the process of making more donuts, the cashier kindly informed me that I could choose any flavor as most of the toppings were available.

I didn’t want to leave empty-handed as it was my first time there, so me and my friend chose the chocolate with sprinkles, and the passion fruit, and waited to 10 minutes were fresh donuts. These babies were huge. I did not think we could finish them, but I also didn’t want to share. I was blown away by the customer service, the presentation, and the donut itself. This small donut shop in North East Salem deserves all its notoriety.
