This mall offers a huge food court with international fast foods, Chinese, Venezuelan, Mexican and more and some great cookies.
The stores include well-known national brands like Macy's and Aeropostale as well as local small businesses like Lemon Drop and Cafe-In. The entrance is wheel chair accessible via touch pad.
The aisles are wide and clear.
Plenty of free parking including wheel chair van access spaces near entrances.
There's a sheriff's community outreach office and a cotton candy machine that makes cotton candy on demand. A few tattoo parlours too.
The mall also offers the free Southwest Military Museum, a tribute to military veterans of all wars an conflicts, with artifacts and uniforms. The gift shop is really in the center with displays on the perimeters full of displays, a unique arrangement.
Wheel access restrooms with grab bars and diaper changer.

Edison Mall is a staple shopping destination in the area, and it offers a mix of experiences depending on what you’re looking for. I recently visited and had the chance to explore everything it has to offer. Overall, it’s a convenient place for shopping, dining, and spending time with friends or family, but there are a few areas that could use some attention.

Shopping Experience:
The mall has a decent variety of stores, ranging from popular chain retailers to smaller, more unique shops. Whether you’re looking for clothing, shoes, electronics, or specialty items, there’s likely something for everyone. Stores like Macy’s, Dillard’s, and JCPenney anchor the mall, offering a mix of high-end and affordable options. There are also trendy shops for younger shoppers and a few kiosks with interesting products. However, some storefronts are vacant, and certain sections of the mall feel a little empty, which takes away from the overall vibe.

Dining Options:
Edison Mall has a food court with a good mix of fast food and quick dining options. You’ll find staples like Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, and Sbarro, which are great for grabbing a quick bite while shopping. For those looking for a sit-down experience, there are also a few standalone restaurants around the property. While the food selection is decent, it would be nice to see more variety, such as healthier or more upscale options.

Ambiance and Cleanliness:
The mall is well-lit and easy to navigate, with wide walkways and plenty of seating areas for those who want to take a break. The Christmas decorations during my visit were festive and added a nice touch to the shopping experience. That said, some parts of the mall could use a refresh, as the decor feels a bit dated in places. Cleanliness overall was good, with most areas well-maintained, but the bathrooms could use more frequent attention, especially during busy times.

Entertainment and Community Feel:
One of the highlights of Edison Mall is its effort to offer more than just shopping. There are occasional events and activities for families, like seasonal celebrations and local pop-up shops. The mall also features a play area for kids, which is a nice touch for families with young children. Additionally, the movie theater and arcade nearby make it a good spot for an afternoon out. These community-driven aspects help make Edison Mall more than just a shopping center.

Parking and Accessibility:
Parking is generally not an issue, as there’s plenty of space around the mall. However, some areas of the parking lot could benefit from better lighting and maintenance. Accessibility is good, with ramps and elevators for those who need them. Public transportation stops are conveniently located near the mall, making it easy to get to for those without a car.

Overall Impression:
Edison Mall is a solid choice for shopping and spending time with family or friends. It’s not the most modern or upscale mall, but it has a charm that comes from being a longstanding part of the community. While there’s room for improvement—such as filling vacant stores, upgrading certain areas, and adding more diverse dining options—it’s still a reliable spot to shop, eat, and relax. If you’re in the area, Edison Mall is worth a visit, especially if you’re looking for a one-stop shopping experience.

Edison Mall Ft Myers 5-28-24
Finally took the wife shopping down at the Edison Mall on Memorial Day. We found a parking spot at the food court entrance with no problems. Once inside the food court was large with plenty of places to choose from to eat. The seating area was large and very clean. Lots of families enjoying themselves there. Strolling down the rest of the mall we saw plenty of stores and lots of little stores in the walkways. The mall was clean, safe and we even seen security guards walking around. I will add one of the down sides are the flooring in this mall is in rough shape with lots of cracked tiles under your feet. There are not too many vacant stores or construction going on. This mall is big but laid out weird. There are no maps or diagrams of the mall at any of the entrances to show you where all the stores are located. There are a couple of overhead signs to tell you where major stores or food courts are but that’s about all we found. If you want to find a particular store you will have to hunt it or maybe google it, I found that weird. I forgot to mention the Twisted Crab restaurant was beside the food court if you wanted a sit-down restaurant instead of the food court. I will be reviewing it soon. There are way too many stores to mention but you should visit this place as it’s a fun day of shopping, eating and its very safe there. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars because of all the different stores but the cracked floors and no diagrams of stores I subtracted one star.

This is the biggest mall I’ve seen. Great place to shop. Loved one store that everything was under $10.00. Women’s clothing. Very clean and worth the drive from Cape Coral

It got a 2 star because the food options are pretty great. Other than that a lot of the stores are empty or not operating. The family bathrooms missing toilet paper and I was scared to step on that floor, all the kid riding machines were out of order and the kid area (photos below) was extremely filthy. Everything looked like it was left out in the rain and brought in.

There are a lot of families in the area and this mall would benefit from investing in a better child play area so the parents can shop and have some kind of reward for them afterwards. I would much prefer Miromar Outlets (very clean, better stores, and wonderful kid area surrounded by great food options) BUT it was raining and that’s an outdoor mall.

I give it 4 stars for the inside of the mall and stores.
The outside is a whole different score of 2 stars. a couple of places give it sketchy vibes. Management needs to clean up the outside parking lot areas, and landscape and power wash the buildings in places. Had we not gone in we would not have known how nice the inside was.

I really enjoy shopping at Edison Mall. It is the only enclosed and climate-controlled mall in Lee County, and it has a lot of stores and restaurants to choose from. I like that they have Macy’s, Dillard’s, and JCPenney as anchors, as well as many specialty shops like Victoria’s Secret, Books-A-Million, and Box Lunch. They also have a food court with a variety of options, and a play area for kids. The mall is always clean and well-maintained, They also host events and activities throughout the year, such as adoption events, holiday celebrations, and live entertainment. Edison Mall is a great place to shop, dine, and have fun šŸ‘ I strongly recommend Edison Mall.

No nice ambient, parking was difficult, the mall does not look pretty and visually enjoyable. The stores have very good prices, some times even better than the outlets. Very good service at Pandora and VS
