Decided to visit this place during our vacation in San Diego. We almost didn't stop by due to the distance from the Naval Base, where our son is attending school, which would have been a major mistake. We live in Florida, which is the antique capital of the world, but have not found anything of interest in quite some time. We were greeted upon entry and offered multiple opportunities for assistance. Great Customer Service! This place has something for everyone. We even walked away with two hurricane candle holders and a frosted Lead Crystal Vase with silver/brass base. They gave us a discount on both and we have not been this pleased with a purchase in a while. I would recommend you take the time and make the trip!

I have been here a number of times and have spent a fair amount of money. The behind the desk ladies are horrible. No one said Good morning, I finally did. I asked to see something in a case and i received a sigh. The act of providing customer service or rather doing their job was overwhelming to her. The second time I asked for a key i received a snarky response of “ while I am up are there any other cases you want opened”. It was her tone that was offending. I found many more objects I would have purchased but I did not want to annoy her. At checkout she never smiled, never responded to my chit chat question. I get it you’re having a bad day but don’t take it out on your customers. Not going back there again.

(From my Yelp) All I wanted was to buy a single DVD for $1. I was immediately greeted with hostility and an unwelcoming atmosphere. The lady behind the counter just stares at you, doesn't ask if you want help, welcomes you, even how your day is.

I didn't realize that you have to purchase at least $5 worth of products to use a card. My issue was that the woman acted like I was trying to rip them off, or was there to not spend money, or frankly like I shouldn't be there to begin with. After some extremely dry and rude responses from her regarding the credit card minimum, I decided to just leave because it seemed as though my money wasn't good there.

I hate to be this guy, but as someone who grew up in Escondido my whole life, I have experienced this many times. I'm never rude, I smile, and I always say please and thank you, but tbh, I think I know why I was treated like this and it's a shame that it continues to happen to this day.

Besides that the store is fine, it's actually pretty vast and has a nice selection of stuff. You can spend some time in there. Some vendors (in my opinion) charge WAY too much but others, you can find a nice deal. Besides the lady, the guy behind the counter next to her was nice, and I could tell was trying to remedy the situation that was happening.

I'm clearly not alone here, other reviews have said similar things. I think if you can get past the rudeness (they may stare at you/pester you the whole time so beware), you can find some cool stuff.

Accessibility: the store is wheelchair accessible, but there are some sections you cannot go into because they are too small/thin.

Experience: this is my favorite antique store ever. I have been here probably 30 times in the last couple years and I love it every time. The store is HUGE inside and there is an endless amount of things to look at. Each section is owned by a different person so you will see some sections of the store selling antique jewelry, some clothes, furniture, kitchen utensils, signs, records, toys, clocks, everything! I am a huge fan of this store. The women who work here are also very nice.

I come here all the time with my friends; it's a nice place with conversation starters and rare finds 🙂

Just recently bought a silver chain for a pendant purchased online. Had two women here help me out who were very gracious, patient, and helpful in finding one that fit nicely.

Feel free to call ahead if you're looking for something specific, too — there's a little bit of everything.

The old man is prejudiced, I went in trying to buy a book and other employees were following me around, then when me and my sibling were at the front, he asked to hold it up front even though we were already going to check out. I said sure just not to cause any problem, but he did this to me just because I am Hispanic. Also if you’re paying with card, make sure you spend at least $5 at this crappy store or else you can’t buy what you want.

Pretty neat antique store, it's really large. Its got everything you could look for in an antique store, including a set of uranium cups and plates.
