I hate to leave bad reviews, especially after being informed by my coworkers about how good this place is. I ordered a Rueben and it was literally the WORST I have ever had. There was hardly any meat on the sandwich and the corned beef that was there, was in thick chunks that had fat and gristle all through it. I prefer my meat shaved or sliced, not in huge, barely edible, hard chunks. Plus, it smelled like the meat was going bad. The rye bread was also completely soggy. I'm upset that I wasted my money here and really wish I could get a full refund. Needless to say, I won't be back.

This place is a hidden gem that is super popular with locals. I have passed it more times than I can count, even went in for cold drinks to carry me back home to Baltimore County a few times. I had no idea they served food or that it was absolutely amazing. I got to try their food for the first time last year and was impressed. My brother scheduled his outdoor wedding to take place at a nearby venue that doesn't serve food. I wanted to provide picnic style food to match the "boho" vibe of the occasion. Etchison Country Store came through! I ordered 100 pieces of fried chicken, a gallon of potato salad and a gallon of macaroni salad. The food was ready on time, the chicken was hot, the salads were high quality and fresh. Everything was outstanding! The guests raved about the food as they gobbled it up. 🙂 Chip, the owner is wonderful. Great communication and customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Etchison Country Store again in the future. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thanks again, Chip!

I always drive by this place and was curious so I finally stopped by last week. Its just a normal bodega/corner store. Nothing too great. Not too much variety on juice drinks and sodas. They did have food. I ordered a reuben as curiosity. Nothing amazing. Something I could have made at home. And paid $11 for two pieces of bread, meat and Swiss cheese.

I walked in here today for the first time after being told "YOU MUST GO IN THERE!". I am so glad I did.
My tuna salad sandwich, and coleslaw made my day!
Torie and Chip were so friendly. And HOLY COW on the beer selection! I'll definitely be back.

Stopped by here MANY times over the years. The Italian cold cut sub is always fresh and delicious! Fried chicken good, and the steamed shrimp are also always fresh, cooked properly and seasoned right -not overly salted like Camerons in R-ville. Someone stated they are frozen...LOL..FYI ALL SHRIMP ARE FROZEN straight away from the harvest, unless you cook them on the boat. Chip does a good job here!

I dropped in to get an Italian sub for myself and niece. I have lived in this area since 1973 and never been here so I thought I would give it a try. The sub was great! The short woman behind the counter is wonderful and very accommodating. I sat outside on the porch and watched the traffic go by which was entertaining. I can't wait to go back and try some other items on their menu---and sit and eat on the porch.
If you haven't been here you should give it a try.

I was just driving by and stopped at some vintage stores beside the store. I ask if any good eatting places around. The farmhouse vintage said the Etchison Country Store made good sandwiches. So I stopped there very friendly service from a lady at counter. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato mayo. It was the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. I had to go back another weekend and get another one of those. I ask the lady at counter who makes the chicken salad I said I would like to shake his hand. He is a great cook. I talk to several people who come in often and they said this place always has great food. I was never disappointed I eat there alot now. Grear place to stop and grab a good bite to eat anytime. I live this place.

Hate to do this but don’t get the jumbo spiced shrimp. It’s just frozen shrimp (mine tasted freezer burnt) with a ton of seasoning and not peeled or deveined (which would’ve been fine had they been somewhat fresh or just not freezer burnt). Also their receipts don’t show anything other than the price you paid and there aren’t many items with clear prices. Item prices seem to be jacked up. I somehow always pay more here when getting items I always get.
