Hours of online research told me the ASICS Gel-Kayano 31 was my shoe—stability, comfort, the whole package. I walked into Fleet Feet in flip-flops, hoping they might have it. Boom: exact model, exact color, perfect size, sitting on the wall like it was waiting for me.

Matt handed me a pair of “try-on” socks so good I left with five pairs—four were on sale, so… win, not cheap without the sale but they feel worth it. A quick gait check, a few test runs, and I was sold.

I'm amazed it would have cost me more to get the exact same shoes from Amazon since they gave me a 10% in-store military discount, and no shipping limbo. I'm going running tonight by the beach right after typing this thanks to Matt.

Selection? huge. Service? Optimal. Result? Running on clouds.

Every time we go to Fleet Feet, we receive outstanding customer support. The staff are very knowledgeable and don't just help you find a shoe, they care about understanding your running needs, analyze your stride, and foot architecture and make personalized recommendations based on a full assessment. We arrived near closing time and never felt rushed or that we were inconveniencing the staff. I always buy my shoes from Fleet Feet, even when I just call in the shoe size and style I want for pick up (which I could just order online directly from the brand store), because I hope they never go out of business. We need them in our community!

I had a great fitting experience here and really appreciated the low-pressure, helpful approach. The associate who worked with me was a runner herself and very knowledgeable about running shoes. She filmed my gait and even had me do a single-leg squat before making recommendations. The shoes she suggested fit well, though they didn’t have one specific model I wanted to try. She encouraged me to order it online and assured me I could return or exchange within 30 days if it didn’t work out—something few stores allow with used shoes.

Selecting shoes here was the best shoe buying experience I've ever had. From the beginning, it was fair because we signed a sheet guaranteeing that we would be served on a first come, first served basis. Jim, the knowledgeable sales team member who helped me, analyzed my feet (with 3D technology!) for size, shape, and function, explained it all to me, then brought out two pairs of shoes based on the analysis. Immediately each pair felt better on my feet that any shoes I've owned before! Though the store was full of customers, I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered clearly. Fleet Feet and sales staff was a top tier experience for me! Came in for insole fitting. Looking for a less expensive but high quality version of my doctor’s custom for prescription I paid for last year and I was helped right away. Friendly, knowledgeable sales staff gave me a few options. They know their products and that was a big sales point for me. I purchased what I tried on and opted to have a full foot and stride scan of my foot to purchase the custom insoles.

I was a bit intimidated entering the store and asking for help because I thought it was only for serious runners and athletes.But when I (67-year old woman/walking tour guide--active but not athletic/not even pickleball) arrived at 11 a.m. on a Friday morning, I was surprised to see so many seniors--some of us looking for footwear comfort and support rather than competitive advantage and speed. Of course, we could get those features, too, if we wanted them. Staff was patient and helpful and attentive to proper fit. Shout out to salesperson Jim!
