If you need sod for your home LOOK NO FURTHER. From beginning to end of my project, this company made my life easy and made my wallet very happy too. The workers were on point and now all my neighbors want to use them for sod. Beautiful grass makes a beautiful home. I strongly recommend GVI.

I recently purchased soil from GVI Sod with the understanding that it would be used for a raised garden bed. Unfortunately, the soil I received was filled with foreign objects such as plastic, fragments of used COVID masks, a hose, other plastic tubing, and even pens. It appears that the soil might have been dredged from a bottle of a canal. Regardless of whether I’m correct about the exact source, it raises serious concerns about its safety for growing vegetables.

To make matters worse, the garden center sent a driver who didn’t speak English, so I couldn’t effectively communicate where to place the soil or address my concerns on the spot. I reached out to the garden center to express my concerns, but I haven’t received a response.

Considering that I specified the soil was for a garden bed, I’m extremely disappointed in both the product and the customer service. I would caution anyone purchasing soil here to be careful.

Just had sod installed in the backyard. I purchased 36 pallets and couldn’t be happier. I saved money and they installed all of it in a few hours. Had them come out and recheck the amount needed and they were spot on & another vendor was way off on the amount. They prepared the surface before throwing it down,laid it flat, trimmed around all sprinkler heads,cleaned up their trash and cleaned the street when they left. Even the deposit & balance of payment was easy. I’m going to use them to finish my side yard when I’m ready. I will recommend them to anyone that needs sod replaced.

1st off let me say I called around to a lot of companies to get Zoysia grass, this was the 2nd cheapest I could find with delivery. Nathan was very responsive and patient with me which made me feel comfortable being that I was spending thousands on sod. I received 7 pallets, 6 were good, and 1 was bad, which was kind of expected as we were in a drought. The one that was bad was still somewhat green but browner and had very little to no sand on the bottom which was concerning.

I ended up being short a pallet and received another one 2 days later to finish my project. (By the way, this is the only company I found that will deliver a single pallet of specialty sod without charging $500 plus). The next pallet I got was SOOOO GOOD! It's amazing what a couple days of rain will do. I had about 1/4 pallet left over so I decided to pull up some of the pieces that were on the bad pallet and replace it with the really good stuff, to my surprise after only 2 days most of them had white roots already growing. I still proceeded to replace as many bad pieces as possible with the really good sod.

I gave this company a 4 out of 5 being that I did receive a bad pallet, BUT I also ordered during a drought, so it's somewhat expected. Nathan was awesome, delivery guy was awesome, price was awesome, I'm super happy! I would absolutely recommend this company and use this company again!!!

Oh and by the way... the company I was originally going to use brought the same sod, and I didn't accept it. GVI's sod was much better!
