This organization seems great at first. After we moved into our home a few years later our family had financial hardship from a traumatic event. I felt a little bit behind on my mortgage did everything I could to try to catch up. This all started three years ago and ever since then they have done some of the most disgusting things to our family. They try to foreclose on us multiple times when there was an acceptable financial solution, they have harass starts with Karen Foreman complains that were fraudulent, charged us, fines, and fees, that we were not able to substantiate or fight and did not care to accept any reasonable solution. It became obvious to me that they only wanted to kick me out of my house that I’ve already paid $70,000 for so that they could resell it for profit. Drive nice beautiful new expensive vehicles that work for a nonprofit. These people do not care about families. They care about profits and making money for themselves. I’m ashamed to admit that I was blown away on how nice caring and compassionate they seemed. But when it really comes down to it, they are some of the nastiest unholy racist people I’ve ever come in counter with. They try to find us or not registering pets in our home when we did so three times call code enforcement on us constantly to wish there was no violation, consistently send us the letters of intent to fine for HOA violations, that never occurred, and so much more. Idea of Habitat for Humanity seems like a very great opportunity for families in need who want to finally on their own home. I would highly recommend you seek an alternative solution. Today I am paid up on my mortgage and even ahead, but the harassment still continues. Please do not be fooled. Their job is to represent themselves in a way that’s lovable likable and donatable. They profit off of families in need with a smile on their face, pretending that they are here for you. They’re not they’re there for themSelves. But they sure did have me fooled. My only objective here is a hope and pray many people read this, so they don’t make the same mistake I did.

This is the second time that they have refused to take all items. I will never deal with them again. They found a small crack on a bedpost and wouldn’t take the item, and I wouldn’t break up the set. It was a 10 minute fix with glue. They turned down a very nice bedroom set that was 99% perfect. I really question how dedicated they are to the stated mission.

Was not happy they hardly took any of my things. Did not meet up to the par. I suggest that you send someone out before pick up to appraise the things you are donating. I was closing on my house on momday and this was Thursday. I was left to have the test hauled of at my expense. There was not enough time to have other companies come and get the things that they would not take. I was confusing as why they left some behind and took other things. My furniture was not in bad shape. I won’t tell you what they said why the would not take the other things.

You must read this story. Last weekend I had a yard sale and planned to donate all leftovers to Habitat. We delivered our donations leaving our cashbox in a plastic bag by accident. We were devastated when realizing we had lost our profits from 4-5 days work to get items ready for the sale. We called the store about 10 minutes after realizing the box was gone. A happy voice on the other end of the line said, "we have your cash box" before I could even get the question about the loss out of my mouth. Not only had they kept the box; they had totaled all the money in the box and it was all there. Blessings to honest, caring people.

I saw an office chair I liked asked how much it was $ 45.00 I came back 10 min. Later and the price was 79.00! I was given the 45.00 purchase price. This is very shady it reinforces the perception of Florida business.

I went in for an interview to get a home. Very professional and respectful staff. I also was directed to one of their home building locations, and it seemed like a nice, safe place to live. Overall great experience so far.
